Because this role sits at the intersection of cross-border trade operations, vendor management, and regulatory compliance-and involves coordinating with multiple stakeholders across the US and Mexico-we need someone with strong stakeholder management capabilities, a solid understanding of trade logistics, and a high bias for action.\nKey job responsibilities\nEducate vendors with manufacturing or operations in Mexico on the USMCA Direct Imports program and the opportunity to supply US Fulfillment Centers.\nBuild and maintain relationships with senior leaders of partnered vendors to grow the cross-border import business under USMCA.\nDevelop and improve the MX→US import pipeline to support cost savings, nearshoring goals, and new selection for US customers.\nSupport the onboarding of new vendors into the Amazon supply chain, ensuring compliance with USMCA rules of origin, product regulations, and merchandising processes.\nLiaise with US-based Vendor Managers to understand selection needs, pricing requirements, and standard contractual terms.\nCoordinate with key stakeholders across the US and Mexico-including trade compliance, transportation, and operations teams-to maintain alignment and resolve cross-border bottlenecks.\nContribute to the development of best practices, SOPs, and contract standards for the USMCA import channel.\nSupport category teams in monitoring, analyzing, and owning key performance indicators such as vendor import share, out-of-stock rate, vendor operational metrics, GPP compliance, and marketing investments.\nWork with vendors and Amazon operations to ensure a reliable, compliant, and cost-effective flow of goods-from purchase order through cross-border transit to receive at US FCs.\nA day in the life\nWork with internal teams to understand the systems and variables that affect purchasing and vendor management decisions.\nLead projects and regular business improvement initiatives. \nAbout the team\nInclusive team culture \nAt Amazon we embrace our differences and we are committed to furthering our culture of inclusion.
