In this role you will work closely with the VP of Hardware.\nIn this role you will:\nOwn customer-specific robotic system deployments end to end, from initial requirements and concept through shipment and installation support\nTurn loose or incomplete customer requirements into a concrete engineering plan, identifying missing information, interface risks, and blockers early\nDevelop complete, accurate, installation-ready system layouts and detailed designs in Onshape\nCreate and maintain assemblies, drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing and installation documentation\nDrive procurement, vendor coordination, kitting, and production so every project is complete and ready to ship on schedule\nCoordinate mechanical, electrical, controls, facility, and deployment interfaces in partnership with Engineering, Product, Sales, Operations, and customers\nUse sound judgment to choose simple, proven solutions over unnecessary custom engineering, and know when to pull in additional engineering expertise\nImprove the scalability of customer engineering by turning recurring project needs into reusable components, templates, standards, and processes\nYou are a good fit if you have:\nEagerness to learn, solve challenging problems, and lead with curiosity\nA desire for career growth and ownership of your work, with a track record of driving projects through physical completion rather than stopping at design release\nA mechanical engineering background or equivalent experience, with strong mechanical intuition and a solid understanding of physical equipment and interfaces\nProficiency in CAD-based mechanical design and system layout (Onshape preferred), including creating assemblies, drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing or installation documentation\nExperience managing technical projects with multiple dependencies and deadlines, with the organization and extreme attention to detail to keep procurement, open items, and schedules on track across several projects at once\nStrong communication skills that make technical information clear to engineers and non-engineers alike, plus comfort working directly with vendors and supporting procurement\nStrong spreadsheet and data-organization skills, and a pragmatic, process-driven approach to following and improving repeatable engineering processes\nComfort with ambiguity and the ability to work well under pressure while maintaining high standards\n(BONUS) Experience as a Project, Applications, Systems, or Integration Engineer or similar role\n(BONUS) Experience with industrial automation, robotics, material handling, conveyor systems, packaging equipment, or other engineered-to-order machinery\nIn addition to competitive compensation, we offer benefits such as:\nHealth, dental, and vision insurance\n401k with 5% matching by Ambi\nEquity ownership\nUnlimited PTO\nPartial WFH\nFree parking on site at HQ\nAccess to a full gym at HQ\nFree lunches 2x per week\nPLEASE NOTE:\nAll applications must be submitted online for equitable review.
