Since 2010, we've shipped over 300 million units to customers building smarter wearables, medical devices, IoT products, and AI-powered edge applications.\nOur cross-functional teams span design, research, development, production, marketing, sales, and operations across Austin, Hsinchu, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Singapore. We move fast, tackle hard problems, and create space for people to grow through complex, meaningful work that shapes the future of technology.\nWe're looking for self-motivated, creative problem-solvers who are eager to push technological limits and make a real impact in energy efficiency.\nAt Ambiq, we live by five values: Innovate. Collaborate. Focus. Learn. Achieve.\nIf that's you, join us - the intelligence everywhere revolution starts here.\nScope \nWe are seeking a motivated Senior Validation Engineer to join Ambiq's Taiwan Validation Team and help validate our next-generation ultra-low-power MCU and SoC products from first silicon through production. \nIn this role, you will develop and execute validation plans, perform silicon characterization, automate validation testing, and debug complex hardware and firmware issues across digital, analog, mixed-signal, and low-power subsystems. You will collaborate closely with Architecture, Design, Verification, Firmware, Product Engineering, and ATE teams to ensure high-quality silicon and successful product releases. \nThis position offers the opportunity to independently own major validation areas while contributing to validation automation, product quality, and continuous improvement across multiple silicon programs. \nResponsibilities \nDevelop and execute post-silicon validation plans, functional tests, and automated regression suites for MCU and SoC subsystems. \nPerform functional validation, electrical characterization, PVT testing, margin analysis, shmoo testing, and production test correlation. \nDevelop embedded firmware, validation software, automation scripts, and data analysis tools to improve validation efficiency. \nSupport board bring-up, laboratory testing, silicon characterization, and debug activities. \nAnalyze validation failures, production issues, customer issues, and RMA investigations to identify root causes and drive resolution. \nCollaborate with Design, Verification, Firmware, Product Engineering, Applications Engineering, and ATE teams to improve validation coverage, product quality, and manufacturing readiness. \nContribute to the continuous improvement of validation methodologies, automation frameworks, and laboratory infrastructure. \nQualifications \nBS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. \n4+ years of experience in post-silicon validation, silicon bring-up, embedded firmware, or SoC development. \nExperience validating ARM-based MCU or SoC devices, including digital, analog, mixed-signal, power management, memory, and peripheral interfaces. \nExperience developing embedded C/C++ firmware and validation automation using Python, Tcl, Bash, or similar scripting languages. \nHands-on experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, current measurement equipment, environmental chambers, and laboratory instrumentation. \nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently debug complex hardware and software issues. \nExcellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across cross-functional engineering teams. \nExperience with ultra-low-power SoCs, AI-enabled edge devices, or embedded wireless systems. \nExperience with Bluetooth® Low Energy, IEEE 802.15.4 (Thread, Matter, Zigbee), or similar wireless technologies. \nExperience with production test correlation, characterization, yield improvement, and statistical data analysis. \nExperience developing validation automation frameworks, regression environments, and reusable test infrastructure. \nExperience with Linux development environments, Git, FPGA validation platforms, and hardware-assisted debug environments.","description_format":"text","description_chars":4330,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":4,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Processors, MCUs & AI Chips","Edge AI","Analog & Power Semiconductors"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-06T12:09:40Z"}],"liveness":{"score":53,"band":"ok","label":"Likely open","p_open":1,"p_active":0.89,"p_room":0.6,"age_days":75,"expected_fill_days":84,"reasons":["conf:4","velocity","win:late","crowd:"],"computed_at":"2026-10-01T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/ambiq-micro-senior-engineer-validation","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/ambiq-micro-senior-engineer-validation.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-02T03:24:08Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":4681,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":319,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-10-03T00:00:00Z"}}}
