If you have experience in driving technical development, that will certainly help you succeed in this role.\nThe role is based at our Innovation Site in Ballerup, Denmark.\nKey responsibilities\nIn this role, you will be in a key position in the development of Ambu’s future products. You can therefore expect to:\nIdentify user needs, design inputs and specifications through participation in the project start-up phase where interaction with key opinion leaders, doctors and other experts worldwide is crucial to fulfil the ambitious innovation targets \nBe a key influencer in significant development projects within Ambu\nDevelop new, and further improve existing, mechanical design solutions of components and assemblies as well as optimization of existing designs for Ambu's extensive product portfolio within endoscopy, anesthesiology, and patient monitoring \nHave the responsibility for the mechanical design and construction of functionalities, parts and assemblies including quality aspects for robust and safe medical products \nTranslate technology concepts into fully working prototypes ready for feasibility testing and process evaluation including documentation \nEnsure that the component or product is manufacturable in high volume, fulfils function and stays within defined cost framework \nEnsure continually updated documentation in accordance with the regulations from FDA and ISO certification including FMEA's, risk assessments and tolerance analyses \nTrust cooperation with internal and external partners. You will work in international development teams from Germany, Denmark, and Malaysia as well as with external partners, users, physicians, and suppliers\nSuggested candidate profile\nSkills and experience can be earned in many different ways, and we understand that the best fit for the role cannot be prescribed on paper. You are, however, likely to succeed in this position if you have.\nIdeally, you can assess manufacturability from a designer’s perspective and bring practical, hands-on insights rather than purely academic approaches. Experience with micromanufacturing or integrating design for small metal and plastic parts will be considered an advantage. We welcome candidates with expertise in microparts, and previous experience with hearing aids or similar precision devices would be a strong plus.\nSuccessfully completed a technical or scientific course of study, e.g., mechanical or medical engineering resulting in a broad technical understanding \nGood strong knowledge of working with a CAD system e.g. Inventor, Solidworks, Creo, Catia \nHave some experience in product development and/or design of safety-critical products \nExperience working with the development of Medical Devices is considered an advantage, however other highly regulated industries could also be relevant \nRelevant experience in the design of mechanical and plastic components for high volumes from the fields of injection molding, extrusion, and tool design \nProfessional level of both written and spoken English \nStrong team and communication skills, initiative, and courage to take charge in development project groups \nAmbu - a visionary and international workplace where your efforts matter\nAmbu is a company that expands rapidly and has ambitious growth targets.
