This role combines the end-to-end modeling lifecycle-from data extraction, feature engineering, and model evaluation to retraining and real-time deployment-with the design and development of production-ready LLM applications, including RAG systems and multi-agent architectures. The ideal candidate can diagnose model performance issues, select the right approach for each problem, and lead initiatives from research and scope definition through delivery, collaborating with stakeholders and engineering teams across the US and India.\nWhat we'd like to see in a candidate:\nStrong Python and SQL, with solid hands-on use of the ML ecosystem (pandas, scikit-learn, XGBoost, LightGBM or similar).\nProven experience taking ML models to production, including real-time or low-latency inference.\nExperience handling model drift and iterating on models already in production.\nHands-on experience with tuning and feature selection techniques (e.g. Optuna, backward selection).\nStrong experience building LLM-powered solutions, including agents, multi-agent architectures, RAG systems, and API integrations.\nExperience leading a project or MVP end to end, including requirements (PRD) and stakeholder alignment.\nAdvanced/fluent English, comfortable presenting technical work to US clients.\nWe're looking for someone who is comfortable adjusting their working hours to ensure sufficient overlap with our team in Brazil.\nNice to haves:\nFamiliarity with enterprise platforms such as Oracle, SAP or Workday, and their data models.Experience in financial services, credit risk or fraud, or in large consumer/B2B companies.\nExperience building dashboards and communicating results to business audiences.\n\nAmbush is a people first company where talented, thoughtful individuals come together to build meaningful products and lasting partnerships.
