By restoring the capability of our antiquated supply chains, we increase the country’s capacity to imagine and realize new systems, and make a physical world that looks very different from today.\nOverview\nAmca is hiring a temporary Technical Writer on the Business Operations team to obtain, update, and organize technical documentation. This will start as a 3-6 month contract position onsite at Amca's headquarters with the opportunity for extensions. \nResponsibilities\nObtain and organize Technical Data Packages from government and commercial sources.\nGenerate CAD models and drawings based on source material and engineering requirements.\nWork with various off-site factories to organize and digitize legacy documentation.\nHelp develop, proofread, and submit proposals for customers across a variety of formats and product types.\nBasic Qualifications\nStrong attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work.\nComfortable with a high volume of repetitive, structured work and able to keep pace with a daily intake list without losing accuracy.\nProficiency with Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Excel, Word, and SharePoint/OneDrive-style file management.\nAbility to read an engineering drawings and a specifications.\nAbility to work on-site in El Segundo, CA for the full term.\nU.S. person status (U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident) as required for access to ITAR-controlled technical data.\nPreferred\nAssociate's or bachelor's degree, or coursework, in engineering technology, drafting, technical communication, library/information science, or a related field.\nPrior experience working in AS9100 or ISO 9001 aerospace and defense organizations\nFamiliarity with Confluence or Jira, and with basic spreadsheet automation.\nExperience handling controlled documents (ITAR, CUI, proprietary data).\nHourly Pay Range\n$28—$38 USD\nThis position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
