This role supports the Business Unit Controller and 6 North American Specialty Containers manufacturing facilities. This role requires the successful candidate to work effectively with a variety of stake holders and to manage multiple demands.\nEssential Responsibilities and Duties:\nProvide financial analysis, performance insights, and decision support to Operations, Plant Leadership, and Finance stakeholders, leveraging SAP, Power BI, and other reporting tools to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.\nAssist plants and the Business Unit Controller with month-end close responsibilities including accurate preparation of journal entries and internal control requirements to ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.\nSupport product costing activities assist with reviewing standard versus actual costs; annual cost models and maintenance of quoting rates.\nAssist in preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations\nPerform analytical and transactional activities such as calculating and determining freight accruals and resolving accounts payable issues.\nSupport Operations Finance with the development of forecasts/budgets.\nOther special projects as required.\nQualifications:\nEducation: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.\n2-4 years of experience analyzing financial results, variances, and key performance indicators within a manufacturing environment.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business recommendations.\nUnderstanding of cost accounting principles, including standard costing, inventory accounting, and manufacturing variances preferred.\nProven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.\nFamiliarity with internal controls, account reconciliations, and financial compliance requirements.\nStrong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines\nAbility to communicate financial concepts and analytical findings to both finance and non-finance audiences.\nMust be an effective team player and interact well with others.\nStrong desire to build a career, develop, and move up in the organization.\nStrong systems aptitude with preference given to candidates with SAP ERP (R3) and/or SAP BW/BPC or JDE experience.\nStrong Microsoft Excel and Power BI (or Tableau) user with the ability to analyze financial and operational performance, identify trends and exceptions, and provide actionable insights to support business decision-making.\nRelationships:\nReports solid line to Business Unit Controller\nKey networking partners: \nBusiness Unit Controller, Plant Controllers, & Plant Accountants\n\nSpecialty Containers Finance team\n\n“Shared Services” Accounting, Information Technology, and Transportation teams\n\nRegional and Plant Operations Teams\n\nWork Environment: Office Environment\nThe information contained herein is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of the duties, responsibilities, skills and/or abilities.\nOur Expectations\nWe expect our people to be guided by The Amcor Way and demonstrate our Values every day to enable the business to win. Base pay information is based on national averages and a geographic differential may be applied based on work location. Position may also be eligible for Amcor’s Management Incentive Plan / Sales Incentive Plan, which is an annual bonus program based on business and individual performance, as well as medical coverage and other health and welfare benefits.\n\nThe salary range provided reflects the anticipated starting salary base pay for this role at the time of this posting and does not necessarily reflect full earning potential over the course of employment.
