This role utilizes corporate accounting processes and systems to ensure timely transaction processing, account reconciliation, and compliance with internal controls.\n2.0 Responsibilities: including but not limited to\nUse caution and support systems to assure a safety event free facility\nRespond to any emergency or potential emergency following established procedures\nObserve, respond, and report to any instance of product, service, or quality systems non conformance\nSecurity diligence: maintain control of keycards, prevent unauthorized entry to facilities by non-Amcor employees, and proper maintenance / security of Amcor equipment\nSuccessfully complete Primary Duties as outlined in 4.0 and associated training\n3.0 Authorities: including but not limited to\nPause activity and notify safety lead in any facility regarding instances of potentially unsafe work environments or employee and supplier practices\nInitiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformity of product, service, or quality systems\nInitiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels\nSuggest actions for continual improvement to products, processes, or systems and verify the implementation of solutions\n4.0 Primary Duties: including but not limited to\nProcess and maintain Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.\nGenerate, review, and distribute customer invoices while resolving billing discrepancies.\nReconcile customer, vendor, and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy of financial records.\nAssist with month-end close activities, including journal entries and supporting documentation.\nMonitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances as needed.\nSupport internal and external audit requests and maintain documentation in accordance with company policies and internal controls.\nPrepare routine financial reports and assist with data analysis to identify discrepancies, trends, and process improvement opportunities.\nCollaborate with internal departments, customers, and vendors to resolve accounting-related issues.\n5.0 Qualifications / Education Required:\nAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.\n3-5 years of accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, or financial operations experience.\nExperience in performing account reconciliations, month-end activities, and managing financial transactions in a business environment.\nStrong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.\nDemonstrated attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.\n6.0 Preferred Skills / Experience:\nExperience working in a corporate accounting environment, preferably within a publicly traded company.\nExperience with JD Edwards (JDE) ERP and/or QuickBooks systems strongly preferred.\nFamiliarity with financial controls, audit support, and compliant environments.\nExperience identifying and implementing process improvements within accounting or finance functions.\nStrong communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across departments.\nOur Expectations\nWe expect our people to be guided by The Amcor Way and demonstrate our Values every day to enable the business to win.
