This role supports production stability, process optimization, container quality, and equipment reliability.\nThe specialist works closely with operations, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure safe, efficient, and consistent manufacturing of PET containers. This position may operate as an on-site technical resource and serves as a key liaison between plant operations and Amcor Asset Excellence, engineering, and technical teams.\nThis role requires hands-on troubleshooting, process optimization, and technical leadership to maintain Best-in-Class (BIC) processing conditions while protecting proprietary manufacturing technologies.\nEssential Responsibilities and Duties: \nProcess Support & Optimization\nEstablish, maintain, and optimize processing parameters to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality bottle production.\nDevelop and maintain process setup sheets and operating parameters for production containers.\nMonitor process performance and assist operations teams in maintaining established process conditions.\nAnalyze production and test data to validate container performance against specifications.\nIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and production reliability.\nMold Changes & Process Start-Up\nParticipate in mold changes including oven setup verification and process readiness.\nAssist with process start-ups to ensure stable bottle production.\nIdentify mechanical or maintenance issues that may impact processing performance.\nContainer Quality & Validation\nProduce sample containers for evaluation by quality and maintenance teams.\nCollaborate with quality personnel to measure and validate container physical characteristics.\nReview test data against Tentative Performance Specifications.\nRecommend process adjustments or design modifications when necessary to meet performance requirements.\nEquipment Reliability & Troubleshooting\nTroubleshoot and resolve processing issues involving blow molding equipment.\nDiagnose mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical issues affecting production.\nAssist maintenance teams in resolving recurring container defects or process-related equipment issues.\nSupport preventive maintenance activities related to process-critical equipment.\nOperational Support & Training\nProvide technical guidance to operators on machine operation, process adjustments, and defect identification.\nAssist in developing work instructions and training materials that promote consistent operating practices.\nSupport operator training related to process control, quality monitoring, and troubleshooting.\nTechnical Collaboration & Continuous Improvement\nServe as a technical liaison between plant operations and Amcor engineering and Asset Excellence teams.\nSupport new bottle trials, product validations, and process improvement initiatives.\nParticipate in root cause analysis of container performance or production issues.\nContribute to development of best practices that improve safety, quality, and operational efficiency.\nMulti-Site Technical Support\nProvide technical support for additional Amcor manufacturing locations as required.\nAssist with start-ups, troubleshooting, validations, and project support at other facilities.\nTravel as necessary to support operational or technical initiatives\nQualifications:\nEducation & Experience\nAssociate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Plastics Technology, or related technical field preferred.\n5+ years of experience in PET blow molding operations or process support within a manufacturing environment.\nExperience with beverage or packaging manufacturing preferred.\nExperience with blow molding systems such as Sidel, Krones, Sipa, or similar equipment is a plus.\nTechnical Skills\nStrong knowledge of PET blow molding theory and processing principles.\nAbility to read and interpret pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical schematics.\nExperience troubleshooting low to high voltage electrical systems.\nStrong mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting skills.\nProficiency using computers and related software for documentation, process monitoring, and troubleshooting.\nProfessional Skills\nStrong problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities.\nEffective communication and collaboration skills across operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.\nAbility to work independently while supporting cross-functional teams.\nStrong organizational and decision-making skills in fast-paced manufacturing environments.\nPhysical Requirements: \nAbility to lift, push, or pull up to 1,000 pounds using a hydraulic hand jack (equivalent to approximately 70 pounds of static push/pull force).\nAbility to frequently lift up to 75 pounds from ground level to overhead.\nAbility to frequently carry up to 60 pounds for short distances (approximately 10 feet).\nAbility to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 8 hours per shift, on concrete flooring.\nAbility to work 8-hour shifts on day or night schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed.\nAbility to perform physical movements including bending, twisting, kneeling, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching, grasping, and fine finger manipulation.\nAdditional Requirements\n·Ability to travel up to 25%\nEmployees must be able to work 8-hour shifts day or nights, including weekends and holidays.\nAbility to stand, walk, and
