Champion and support EHS implementation of programs, campaigns, and initiatives by: challenging plant employees to be active participants in pursuing EHS excellence; promoting consideration of EHS implications in all plant projects and activities; providing positive reinforcement and coaching to employees; and continually demonstrating appropriate behavior and leading by example.\n.ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS & DUTIES:\n Continually improves safety record by addressing both physical safety issues and employee safety\nattitudes while ensuring compliance of all safety procedures.\n Implements and drives continuous improvement activities and best practices.\n Administers and oversees the environmental aspect of the facility.\n Administers and oversees the safety programs within the facility.\n Active participation in problem solving initiatives.\n Able to be trained and to train others.\n Champion employee empowerment to identify and address safety concerns, and generate new\nideas related to safety and health.\n Promote and participate in employee involvement programs such as project teams, committees,\nand internal training.\n Actively participate in incident investigations and resulting recommendations for improvement.\n Maintain compliance with all environmental related permits: air, waste water, storm water, and\nhazardous waste.\n Lead plant incident and plant non-conformance investigations, and ensure closure of corrective\nactions.\n Maintain compliant safety and environmental records.\n Develop, create, and deliver safety training to employees as required.\n Participate in emergency preparedness planning and response activities.\n Participate in defining safety training requirements for employees to assess and ensure compliance\nwith federal, state, local, insurance, and internal safety requirements.\n Effectively interact with all internal functional job levels and with external agencies and resources in\norder to maximize the effectiveness of the safety improvement process.\n Maintain and increase professional knowledge and expertise related to the fields of environmental\nprotection, occupational health, and industrial safety through annual professional development.\n May assist in other areas or perform other duties as required by fluctuating business needs.\nRequirements:\nBachelor of Science/Engineering in a relevant field or relevant manufacturing experience\n0-3 years of EHS experience\nOur Expectations\nWe expect our people to be guided by The Amcor Way and demonstrate our Values every day to enable the business to win.
