You can expect to manage the implementation and development phases necessary to complete projects, make statistical driven decisions to set engineering priorities for improving production efficiency, safety, and quality, and provide leadership and communications for ensuring the efficient operations of teams. A successful candidate will be process-oriented, and task driven for the safe completion of simple and complex activities.\nResponsibilities\nResponsible for instilling a positive safety culture by ensuring their personal safety and the safety of other team members, including vendors and contractors.\nLeads & develops Engineering Team in all areas, including providing guidance, direction, and development to Engineers.\nCollaborate with other manufacturing managers and leadership to set and assess priorities across teams.\nAssesses cost effectiveness and feasibility of manufacturing processes; makes and implements recommendations to improve safety, efficiency and reduce costs.\nProvides guidance and oversight in development and execution of plant renovations and expansions; coordinates outside contractors and vendors.\nAssists other teams (production, maintenance, tooling, etc.) and/or other appropriate leadership with programs, activities, and responsibilities of those teams.\nTracks cost savings of implemented projects and efficiency improvements\nPrepares and implements the capital budget.\nPerforms annual performance evaluations of employees\nRespond to customer complaints and implement corrective / preventive action.\nMaintain and enforce all company safety, environmental and department of health requirements.\nQualifications\nStrong problem solving and technical skills.\n5 years of experience in Industrial Maintenance/Engineering.\nPrefer Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nDetail oriented/root cause investigative mechanical troubleshooting skills.\nStrong analytical skills and organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.\nExcellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated leadership ability.\nStable work history and excellent attendance/safety habits.\nCapable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, pushing, pulling and lifting/moving up to 35 pounds periodically.\nMust be a team player with excellent attendance, communication, and problem solving skills.\nMust be able to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced production environment.\nMust perform all duties in a safe and effective manner.\nOur Expectations\nWe expect our people to be guided by The Amcor Way and demonstrate our Values every day to enable the business to win.
