This role develops technical capability in tooling repair, mold maintenance, machining processes, and equipment reliability while contributing to continuous improvement, safety, quality, and operational excellence within a plastics manufacturing environment.\nEssential Duties & ResponsibilitiesKey Accountabilities & Tasks\n· Perform preventative maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of injection molds and tooling components\n· Disassemble, inspect, clean, repair, and reassemble molds according to established procedures\n· Operate Tool Room equipment including lathes, mills, grinders, drill presses, and related machinery\n· Troubleshoot tooling-related issues impacting production, quality, or mold performance\n· Perform basic machining, fitting, polishing, and component fabrication activities\n· Support mold changeovers and tooling preparation activities\n· Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation\n· Complete maintenance documentation and work orders accurately within CMMS systems\n· Maintain compliance with all safety requirements including LOTO, machine guarding, PPE, and safe work practices\n· Participate in continuous improvement activities including Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and root cause problem solving\n· Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient Tool Room environment\nChallenges & Problem Solving\n· Diagnosing tooling failures and wear patterns that impact quality or machine performance\n· Identifying root causes of recurring mold and tooling issues\n· Prioritizing repair activities to minimize production downtime\n· Maintaining tooling performance while balancing production schedules and maintenance requirements\n· Safely executing repairs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment\nDirection Received & Provided\n· Works under general supervision of the Tool Room Manager and senior Tool Technicians\n· Receives work assignments, maintenance schedules, and project direction from leadership\n· Provides support and technical coordination with production, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams\n\nWhat We Value\nDemonstrates a strong safety mindset and commitment to Zero Harm\nApplies integrity and accountability in completing work and reporting concerns\nBuilds collaborative relationships across production, maintenance, engineering, and quality teams\nDemonstrates a customer-focused mindset by supporting internal manufacturing operations\nShows a willingness to learn and develop technical expertise in tooling and maintenance practices\nDemonstrates problem-solving abilities and sound judgment\nMaintains reliability and consistency in attendance, quality, and work performance\nCommunicates clearly, professionally, and respectfully\nSupports a continuous improvement culture through participation in Lean, 5S, and operational excellence initiatives\nWhat We Want From You\nEducation & Experience\n· High school diploma or GED required\n· Technical training in Tool & Die, Machining, Industrial Maintenance, Manufacturing Technology, or related field preferred\n· 0-3 years of manufacturing, tooling, maintenance, machining, or Tool Room experience preferred\n· Plastics injection molding and Mold maintenance experience strongly preferred\nAdditional Requirements\nAbility to work at heights when necessary\nAbility to work in confined spaces as required\nUse of personal protective equipment (PPE) required\nAbility to safely operate Tool Room machinery and equipment following training and qualification\nMay be required to support production-related maintenance activities outside the Tool Room as business needs dictate\nCommitment to Amcor's safety, quality, sustainability, and employee experience standards\nCore Competencies\nTooling and mechanical aptitude\nSafety awareness and compliance\nAttention to detail\nProblem-solving and troubleshooting\nTeamwork and collaboration\nContinuous improvement mindset\nReliability and accountability\nAdaptability and learning agility\nCommunication skills\nQuality focus and operational excellence\nPhysical Requirements\nLift up to 50 lbs.;
