Other duties and responsibilities may be required based on business needs and are subject to change.\n*This position requires skill progression and testing.\nJob Function\nSupports coordination and direction of daily production activities to achieve safety, quality, and production objectives\nDuties and Responsibilities\nSupport Production Supervisor in planning and execution of production activities, including break relief for staff, facilitation of pre-shift meetings, work assignments, and scheduling priorities; supervises and directs production activities in the absence of Production Supervisor\nSet up and operation of extrusion equipment in accordance with established guidelines (i.e., correct resin, additives, line speed, temperature); performs proper adjustments to maintain safety, quality, and production standards\nMaintain a safe and clean workplace by supporting safety initiatives and promoting safe behaviors of others\nAssists with review of quality throughout shift to ensure conformance to standards; partners with Quality and Production management to address concerns as needed\nAssists with preliminary troubleshooting of equipment and processes malfunctions as needed; escalates concerns to Production Supervisor and/or Maintenance for resolution as needed\nConduct and facilitate training of new employees in accordance with established policies and procedures\nAssist with preparation of production reporting and documentation including daily production labels, data entry, and production records; reviews reports for accuracy\nObserve all Plant safety, quality and production policies\nPerform related duties as assigned\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required\nMust be Level III\nAbility to utilize a variety of computer software\nMechanical and troubleshooting ability\nAbility to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds unassisted\nAbility to work overtime and/or extended shifts as needed\nStrong verbal and writing skills\nGood general math skills\nAbility to effectively communicate and work collaboratively with others\nPHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES\nMust be able to stand for continuously for 12 hours\nLift 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout during shift\nTwist / Turn repeatedly throughout during shift\nBending/ Stooping / Kneel repeatedly throughout during shift\nPushing/ Pulling/ Reaching repeatedly during shift\nCarrying 45+ lbs. repeatedly during shift\nMust be able to wear all required Personal protective equipment (PPE) continuously during shift.\nOur Expectations\nWe expect our people to be guided by The Amcor Way and demonstrate our Values every day to enable the business to win.
