This person must always act within food safety and GMP guidelines.\nWHAT YOU GET TO DO\nCreate an environment where safety, customer focus, effectiveness & efficiency can be seen in people and equipment performance.\nMaximize equipment effectiveness and productivity and eliminate all machine losses.\nCreate a sense of ownership with equipment and team members through respect, involvement, and training.\nPromote continuous improvement through small-group activities involving production, maintenance, engineering, 5S, inside and outside resources.\nIdentify and troubleshoot machine issues as needed.\nMentor, coach, and lead other personnel on the machine to run effectively.\nTrain coworkers on proper operating techniques, knowledge, and practices\nOversee new hire training for respective machine.\nPractice good housekeeping - including sweeping, dusting, wiping of tables, etc.\nActively participate in all required trainings including but not limited to safety and technical trainings.\nResponsible for inspecting product at required frequency.\nResponsible for packaging all goods produced.\nResponsible for trimming and accuracy of all goods produced.\nResponsible for data accuracy of all transactions performed.\nWHAT WE VALUE\nExemplify Amcor Core Values of Safety, Integrity, Collaboration, Accountability and Results and Outperformance.\nDemonstrated ability to work with numbers and analyze data.\nAbility to work well in a group setting.\nAbility to learn and take instruction.\nAbility to work at productive speeds.\nQuality Awareness\nSafety Awareness\nAutonomous Maintenance Awareness\nAbility to strategically solve problems.\nStrong troubleshooting skills coupled with tenacity.\nWHAT WE WANT FROM YOU\nHigh school diploma or equivalent, preferred.\nTrades achieved training is a plus.\nThree years manufacturing experience as a maintenance or production leader/operator\nMust be able to read precision measuring tools and read and interpret basic mechanical and pneumatics schematics.\nMust have experience using Microsoft Office and accurate data entry.\nMust understand how to analyze data and influence effective decision making.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nThis position requires an employee to stand, walk and sit, and work at a computer for extended periods of time. Frequent exposure to a manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels. Potential contact with chemicals and cleaning supplies, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds is a requirement.
