Working closely with production, quality, and maintenance teams, the Maintenance Technician performs preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled equipment.\nEssential Jobs and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:\nReport to front line leadership of Lead Technician.\nWork as a team member to obtain plant & departmental goals\nMaintain all Plant Equipment and Facilities including the production, quality, scrap, housekeeping and safety results generated on the shift\nPerform PM’s, cleans and lubricates molding machines and equipment\nModifies, repairs, and rebuilds plant machinery and equipment\nPerforms mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair\nVisually inspects and solves problem machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions\nMeasures parts to detect wear, misalignment or improper operation\nDocuments repairs and maintenance of manufacturing equipment\nPerforms other incidental and related duties as required and assigned\nPotential duties may also include: Fabrication and installation of related trades; performing building maintenance; and general facility repairs\nPerforms installation of new equipment and or relocation of equipment\nUnderstanding of the functionality of relays, motor contactors, motor starters, solid state relays, soft starts and variable frequency drives.\nFamiliarity with operation and troubleshooting of PLC programming\nAbility to read, interpret, and trouble shoot using schematic diagrams\nAbility to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service\nExperience in electrical distribution and machine controls ranging from 24 to 480 volts AC/DC\nPerform all activities safely, including the use of LOTO as required by company policy.\nConduct safety inspections of equipment prior to use.\nWithin the confines of the job, ensure the safe operation of all equipment prior to turning it back over to manufacturing.\nDocument new/altered equipment safety checks or other change control documentation, as required\nUphold safety & quality absolutes.\nWork and perform to ISO standards.\nOther duties as assigned\nQualifications\nCapable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting.\nCapable of reading, writing, and speaking English.\nCapable of lifting up to 35lbs\nCapable of complying with all Safety requirements including the use of PPE: PPE includes but is not limited to Bump Cap or Hard Hat, Safety Eyewear or Prescription Safety Eyewear, Safety Shoes, Hearing Protection and Disposable Mask.\nCapable of maintaining an attendance record within Company guidelines and working required overtime.\nHigh School Graduate or equivalent with 2+ years manufacturing, technical school &/or Associates degree from an accredited technical institute preferred.\nMust have 1-4 years experience in an industrial manufacturing environment or equivalent\nMust possess strong troubleshooting & mechanical skill sets\nProficient in Office 360, JDE, Coast\nNegative drug screen results.\nWork in a safe manner\nAdditional Information\n6:30pm - 7:00am; 12 hour shift (2 Days On, 2 Days Off, 3 Days On, 2 Days Off, 2 Days On, 3 Days Off) \nClimate Controlled Environment\nContribution to Safety, Quality and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)\nMaintain a clean, healthy and safe workplace by ensuring adherence to safety standards.\nConduct required safety reviews of equipment and processes prior to project start-up.\nSupport the accomplishment of your work groups through the quality, timeliness and professionalism of your attitude.\nSupply accurate and timely data as required by performance tracking and reporting.\nApply resources in a manner that maximizes their effectiveness while assuring quality.\nMaintain a work environment that will contribute to the assurance of safety and GMP compliance.\nAdhere to established procedures, perform self-checking and pay attention to detail in the performance of you and your team’s work.\nNotify management in a timely manner of any problems with procedural compliance.\nReport observed quality problems and deficiencies in a timely manner.\nMake recommendations to management for improving the quality and efficiency of your work.\nOversee work to ensure projects are completed.\nOur Expectations\nWe expect our people to be guided by The Amcor Way and demonstrate our Values every day to enable the business to win.
