Manufacturing Team Leads are responsible for supporting operations within one of our key production areas, including Extrusion, Press, Slitting, and Converting. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coordinating daily production activities, supporting team development, driving safety and quality performance, and ensuring department goals are achieved. The Manufacturing Team Lead works closely with operators, supervisors, maintenance, planning, quality, and other support teams to maximize production performance while fostering a high-performance culture.\nWhat You'll Do\nAct as a safety leader and promote a safety-first culture in all activities\nDirect and coordinate day-to-day production activities based on customer demand and production schedules\nSupport operators and production teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production\nProvide coverage and hands-on support across manufacturing operations as needed\nCollaborate with Production Planning, Quality, Maintenance, and Operations teams to prioritize work and meet customer requirements\nAssist supervisors with administering policies, resolving employee concerns, and supporting positive employee relations\nProvide coaching, instruction, and on-the-job training to team members\nSupport employee development and help build technical capabilities across the department\nMonitor production performance and communicate results through standard work and shift communication processes\nAssist with investigations involving safety incidents, near misses, and quality concerns while supporting root cause corrective actions\nPartner with Quality teams to resolve product defects, customer complaints, and process issues\nPartner with Maintenance teams to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability\nLead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost\nSupport shift handoff communication to ensure operational continuity across crews\nAnalyze production challenges and implement corrective actions to improve results\nEnsure compliance with all product safety, food safety, cleanliness, and operational standards\nMaintain accurate production, quality, and operational documentation\nServe as a backup resource for supervisors as needed\nDrive accountability while promoting teamwork, collaboration, and a positive workplace culture\nPerform additional duties as assigned\nMust Have\nHigh school diploma or GED\n3-5 years of manufacturing experience\nPrevious leadership experience or demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop teams\nStrong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nAbility to effectively prioritize work and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment\nStrong problem-solving and decision-making skills\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively while maintaining a positive attitude\nProficiency with computer systems and basic Microsoft Office applications\nAbility to support and coordinate production activities across multiple departments\nPreferred\nExperience in a manufacturing lead, team lead, or frontline leadership role\nExperience supporting employee training and development programs\nWorking knowledge of SAP, AIMS, RF systems, ColorCert, or similar manufacturing systems\nExperience in printing, extrusion, slitting, converting, packaging, or flexible packaging manufacturing environments\nStrong mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting experience\nLean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence experience\nExperience analyzing production metrics and driving performance improvements\nJoin Amcor\nAt Amcor, we are committed to creating a safer, more sustainable future through innovation, teamwork, and operational excellence.
