{"id":2585081,"url":"https://alion.io/job/amcor-mechanic-night-shift-7pm-7am","title":"Mechanic Night Shift (7PM-7AM)","company":{"id":1784647,"name":"Amcor","domain":"amcor.com","url":"https://alion.io/company/amcor-com","size_band":"501-1000","is_staffing_agency":false,"employer_type":"direct","is_intermediary":false,"listed_via":null,"ats_vendor":"Workday","truth_index":null},"role":"Field & Service","role_family":"Field & Service","seniority":null,"employment_type":"full_time","work_mode":"on_site","remote_scope":null,"remote_scope_basis":null,"remote_working_hours":null,"hiring_geo_confidence":"structured","locations":["United States"],"countries":["US"],"hiring_countries":[],"hiring_countries_total":0,"salary":{"min":35,"max":40,"currency":"USD","period":"hour","gross":null,"usd_annual":80000},"salary_estimate":null,"experience_years_min":null,"visa_sponsorship":false,"relocation_package":false,"has_equity":false,"technologies":[],"status":"live","first_seen_at":"2026-10-05T00:00:00Z","employer_posted_date":"2026-10-05","last_verified_at":"2026-10-18T07:46:56Z","board_verified":true,"closed_at":null,"days_open":13,"trust":{"level":"ok","repost_count":null,"flags":[],"days_open":13},"description":"Job Description\nThe primary duties and responsibilities of the Mechanic consist of, but are not limited to, the following:\nWork in a professional manner with other maintenance personnel as needed to keep all equipment in top working order resulting in only high-level quality products being released to the customer.\nTroubleshoot, remove and replace different types of electronic, electromechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and optic systems.\nPre-inspect parts or equipment to be repaired to determine what parts, supplies, forms, tools, tool repair and shop equipment are required; and communicate with Maintenance Manager.\nRead programmable controller information to diagnose complex problems.\nDiagnose and repair AC and DC motor controls.\nReplace belts, pulleys, cables, chains, bearings, gears and related equipment.\nCommunicate with other plant personnel when requested to, to review deficiencies.\nAccurately log all work performed.\nMaintain work areas in a clean orderly manner.\nOperate a forklift, scissor lift and pallet jack safely and efficiently.\nBe thoroughly familiar with plant lockout/tagout procedures, electrical safety, hazard communication program, personal protective equipment and other safety programs and apply these procedures when working on equipment.\nOther duties and/or jobs as assigned.\nEDUCATION & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:\n2+ years of successful experience in an industrial maintenance manufacturing environment or a combination of education and experience. \nHigh school education or GED equivalent\nInjection molding machine abilities are preferred.\nElectrical background preferred.\nGood hand and eye coordination are essential.\nDemonstrated dexterity in using hand tools.\nAbility to lift and carry up to 50 pounds safely.\nAbility to intermittently sit, bend, climb, twist, crouch, reach, and lower.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills are required to transfer and to interpret the explanation of problems and to receive and understand work assignments\nAbility to utilize computers and various computer software\nStarting Pay: $35.00-$40.00 DOE per hour\nShift Differential: $ 3.50 per hour\nSchedule\n12-hour shifts\n2 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off\nPaid lunch breaks\nPay Progression\nIncrease to $1.00 per hour after 90 days with a successful performance evaluation\nBenefits\nMedical, Dental, and Vision Benefits available after 30 days of employment\n401(k) eligibility\nPaid Time Off (PTO)\nSick Time\nOpportunity for growth and advancement\nIf you're dependable, motivated, and ready to join a great team, we'd love to hear from you!\nApply today and start building your future with us!\nOur Expectations\nWe expect our people to be guided by The Amcor Way and demonstrate our Values every day to enable the business to win.
