This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment to support safe and efficient plant operations.\nThe ideal candidate will have approximately 2-4+ years of industrial maintenance experience, a very strong electrical troubleshooting background, and solid mechanical skills. Experience working with injection molding equipment or in an injection molding manufacturing environment is highly preferred/helpful.\nCandidates must be comfortable working independently, diagnosing equipment problems, and performing repairs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities\nTroubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain industrial production equipment.\nPerform electrical troubleshooting and repairs on manufacturing machinery and related equipment.\nTest, troubleshoot, repair, and replace electric motors.\nTest, troubleshoot, repair, and replace electric heaters and heating components.\nTest, troubleshoot, repair, and replace contactors, relays, breakers, and fuses.\nTroubleshoot electrical control circuits, including stop/start circuits.\nDiagnose and replace electrical control components such as proximity switches, laser sensors, and other industrial sensors.\nRead and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and equipment documentation.\nPerform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.\nDiagnose and repair mechanical and hydraulic equipment failures.\nSafely use hand tools, power tools, electrical testing equipment, and other maintenance tools.\nAccurately read and use a tape measure.\nFollow all company safety procedures and electrical safety requirements.\nWork collaboratively with production and maintenance personnel to identify equipment issues and complete repairs in a timely manner.\nRequired Electrical Skills\nCandidates must possess very strong electrical troubleshooting skills and sufficient electrical knowledge to safely diagnose and repair industrial equipment.\nExperience should include:\nElectric motors\nElectric heaters/heating circuits\nContactors\nRelays\nCircuit breakers\nFuses\nStop/start control circuits\nProximity switches\nLaser sensors\nIndustrial electrical troubleshooting and testing\nCandidates must successfully complete the company's CEW Electrical Class and required electrical testing within the first 30 days of employment.\nRequired Mechanical Skills\nA strong mechanical background is required, including experience working with:\nChains\nGearboxes\nMotors\nCouplings\nBelts\nGears\nPulleys\nSprockets\nAxles\nValves\nHoses\nTubes\nCylinders\nRequired Hydraulic Skills\nCandidates should have experience troubleshooting, repairing, and/or maintaining:\nHydraulic pumps\nHydraulic pressure systems\nHydraulic hoses\nO-rings\nSeals\nHydraulic gear motors\nQualifications\nApproximately 2-4+ years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.\nStrong electrical troubleshooting experience is required.\nStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.\nWorking knowledge of industrial hydraulic systems.\nAbility to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot industrial control circuits.\nAbility to use electrical testing equipment safely and effectively.\nAbility to accurately read a tape measure.\nAbility to successfully complete the company's CEW Electrical Class/testing within the first 30 days of employment.\nInjection molding experience is preferred and would be a strong plus.\nExperience working in a manufacturing or industrial production environment is strongly preferred.\nAbility to work the required night-shift 2-2-3 schedule after training is completed.\nOur Expectations\nWe expect our people to be guided by The Amcor Way and demonstrate our Values every day to enable the business to win.
