This position ensures molds and equipment operate safely and efficiently while producing quality parts in accordance with company standards, GMPs, and HACCP requirement.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nClean molds and machines and remove residue that could contaminate parts.\nPerform mold changeovers, grease molds and carriers, and assist with mold maintenance and repairs.\nInspect molds and replace damaged cavities, cores, and other components as authorized.\nApply silicone spray to designated areas as required by established procedures.\nMonitor press alarms and identify mold, machine, and production issues.\nMake authorized machine adjustments to optimize cycle times and maintain part quality.\nInspect Lexan guards and shielding to ensure parts properly enter stacking equipment.\nAssist operators with equipment problems, including stacker jams and conveyor belt issues.\nReport oil leaks, equipment malfunctions, and safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.\nAssist with color and material changes and support mold technicians in other areas.\nWork with Quality Control to resolve product quality issues.\nComplete mold books, downtime sheets, and other required documentation.\nFollow the company's Quality Policy, GMPs, HACCP practices, and all applicable safety procedures.\nWork effectively as part of a team and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or department manager.\nSupervisory Responsibilities\nNone.\nQualifications\nEducation and Experience: High school diploma or GED and three to five years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Injection molding, mold maintenance, and Husky or B&B equipment experience preferred.\nLanguage Skills: Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance procedures, and other work-related documents. Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers.\nMathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic arithmetic using whole numbers and decimals.\nReasoning Ability: Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, troubleshoot equipment issues, and apply sound judgment to resolve production problems.\nPhysical Demands\nThe employee regularly stands and frequently walks, handles tools and controls, reaches, speaks, and listens. Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, and kneeling may be required. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.\nWork Environment\nThe employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to extreme heat and potential electrical hazards. Occasional exposure to heights, wet or humid conditions, fumes, and airborne particles may occur. The work environment is typically loud, can become very hot during summer months, and may involve offensive odors from certain compounds. The position is fast-paced and may be physically and emotionally demanding.
