Leads by example and exhibits professionalism in all areas when representing Amcor inside and outside of the plant.\nWork in a professional manner with other processing technicians and maintenance personnel as needed to keep all equipment in top working order resulting in only quality product being released to the customer.\nVarious other duties as assigned.\n· Troubleshoot minor machine issues\n· Ability to discern molding issues from machinery or process issues\n· Record accurate production data necessary for tracking purposes\n· Develop corrective actions for machine/molding issues\n· Track downtime, quality performance and machine efficiency\n· Train personnel to improve technical capabilities and experience\n· Evaluate the quality of products form newly set-up machines\n· Monitor production process\n· Respond to reported machine/mold issues\n· Start-up and shut-down molding machines as necessary\n· Perform material and color changes in a proficient manner\n· Communicate all changes and all important information to the Manager or Supervisor\n· Ensure all system performances are optimized and running safely.\n· Work with/relieve assembly line operators as needed to meet production requirements\n· Follow and enforce all Environment, Health and Safety, ISO, Food Safety and cGMP policies and procedures\nQUALIFICATIONS:\n· Problem Solving - Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; Gather and analyze information skillfully.\n· Written Communication - Able to read and interpret written information.\n· Teamwork - Contribute to building a positive team spirit.\n· Judgement - Exhibits sound and accurate judgment; Supports and explain reasoning for decisions; Include appropriate people in decision-making process.\n· Planning/Organizing - Uses time efficiently.\n· Professionalism - Approach others in a tactful manner; Reacts well under pressure; Treat others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position; Accept responsibility for own actions; Follows through on commitments.\n· Quality - Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; Look for ways to improve and promote quality; Apply feedback to improve performance; Monitor own work to ensure quality.\n· Quantity - Meets productivity standards; Completes work in timely manner; Strives to increase productivity.\n· Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures; Determine appropriate action beyond guidelines; Report potentially unsafe conditions; Use equipment and materials properly. Be safety and quality conscience at all times\n· Adaptability - Adapt to changes in the work environment; Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.\n· Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time.\n· Dependability - Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Takes responsibility for own actions; Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan.\n· Innovation - Generates suggestions for improving work.\n· Bonus to be familiar with operation and set-up of Injection Molding machines, robots, manufacturing software and processing systems\n· Be mechanically inclined\nEDUCATIONAL, SKILL, & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent.\nPrior plastic injection molding experience is highly preferred.\nPossess or obtain a technical understanding of injection-molding processes and procedures.\nRegularly required to stand for long periods; use hands to finger, handle, or feel, objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms.\nGood hand-eye coordination is required.\nFrequently required to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.\nFrequent exposure to production floor; required use of PPE including but not limited to: Bump Cap, Safety Eyewear or Prescription Safety Eyewear, Safety Shoes, Hair/beard nets, Hearing Protection and Disposable Mask.\nAbility to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.\nSpecific vision abilities required include distance, peripheral, and depth perception.\nFrequently exposed to fumes, or airborne particles.\nFrequently works near moving mechanical parts.\nGood communication skills--verbal and written; must effectively communicate with employees, vendors, and customers.\nIndependent in working effectively with little supervision; self-starter, displaying ability to work and deliver results in a fast-paced, performance driven environment.\nGood attention to detail and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work as a cross-functional team member.\nI have read and understand the duties and responsibilities associated with this position.
