Responsibilities include supervising and training Production Personnel and supporting manufacturing of quality product to meet the customer's needs.\nEnsures the safety of all shift employees by checking the production floor for safety/housekeeping hazards throughout the shift and addressing issues immediately.\nCompletes incident reports thoroughly, timely and accurately. Conducts preliminary investigations on safety incidents.\nOversees required training on selected safety topics.\nSets production goals for shift based on overall Plant goals; achieves/exceeds production goals and ensures that all shift employees understand and work towards achieving production goals.\nReviews product quality throughout shift by communicating with Quality Auditors and Technicians.\nEnsures the proper training and development of all assigned shift employees. Conducts performance appraisals; rewards and disciplines employees; addresses complaints and resolves problems. \nPrepares staffing plans to ensure adequate coverage on all machines for scheduled production. \nReviews production schedule utilizes labor efficiently to achieve optimal operating efficiencies.\nMotivates and coaches' employees through good communication and frequent performance feedback. \nIdentifies and coordinates additional training as needed.\nDelegates work activities to the proper shift personnel to efficiently manage the shift.\nEnsures the machines run according to the instructions/specifications on the production schedule, and process specifications.\nQualifications\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\nThree to five years' experience in production environment in a leadership role, preferably in plastics production.\nCombined experience may be considered\nThe starting salary for this position is expected to be between $55,000 to $75,000. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Position may also be eligible for Amcor’s Management Incentive Plan / Sales Incentive Plan, which is an annual bonus program based on business and individual performance, as well as medical coverage and other health and welfare benefits.\nThe salary range provided reflects the anticipated base pay for this role at the time of this posting. This range is applicable to positions performed in jurisdictions with pay transparency requirements, including CA, CO, CT, HI, IL, MD, MA, MN, NV, NJ, NY, RI, VT, WA, Washington DC, as well as remote roles that may be performed in these locations. Compensation for roles performed outside of these jurisdictions may vary.
