And we invest in our world-class team, empowering our colleagues to unpack their potential, because we believe when our people grow, so does our business.\nShift: 12 hour Nights - 7p-7a\nPurpose:\nThe Production Supervisor will be responsible for leading and motivating the production team to\nexceed goals and monitoring the day-to-day production activities to ensure that production\nefficiency goals are being met, safety protocols are being followed, and quality product is being\nproduced. Directly supervises hourly employees. Plans and controls production performance\nas measured against operating targets developed according to machine capabilities, manpower\ncapabilities and projected business. Ensures compliance to established customer quality and\nproduction standards. Actively leads and participates in plant safety, housekeeping, 5S and\nlean manufacturing programs by ensuring goals are met within the department. Ensures\ncompletion of all required paperwork, schedules, work orders, etc.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nPlanning, organizing, executing and leading the assigned production area\nAccountable to plan and execute to meet required safety, quality, delivery, production, cost and communication objectives\nMeet production schedules within budgeted allocation\nEnsure appropriate on-the-job training and development of crew members is satisfied\nAddress mechanical, operational, and technical downtime issues within department\nTrain, motivate and mentor employees\nConduct training of new and existing employees\nSupervise employees in the day-to-day operations to ensure safety, quality and productivity\nMaintain and improve production throughput and work with Production Manager to maintain direct labor cost\nProvide support for on the job assignments and continuous improvement initiatives\nEnsure company policies, quality procedures, and Good Manufacturing Policies (GMPs) are\nimplemented, understood and followed\nMaintain a positive working environment for all employees\nMaintain all required logs and reporting documentation and adhere to all safety procedures\nAdhere to all company safety regulations and policies\nWorks with maintenance, Production Manager and Berry Technical Teams on the installation of new equipment and new lines.\nResponsible for adhering to and executing the applicable Environmental Health & Safety programs in order to provide a safe and clean workplace for all employees according to Berry, local, state, and federal requirement-regulations. · Ensure all safety and health standards are met to keep the production areas accident-free.\nAll other duties as assigned\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nA four-year degree is preferred, or equivalent and applicable work-related experience\nStrong desire to train, coach and develop others to improve performance experience in blown film industry\nA minimum of 3+ years of experience in production floor supervision\nPrevious experience with Lean, Six Sigma or other relevant continuous improvement methods and tools a plus\nIndustrial Safety Training experience\nStrong problem-solving skills, results driven and effective decision maker\nAbility to work as part of a team and to work on own initiatives\nAbility to work any shift as needed\nExperience in using computer programs: Excel, Word, PowerPoint\nExcellent verbal and written skills with the ability to communicate accurately and professionally with all levels of the organization\nContact\nEqual Opportunity Employer/Minorities/Females/Disabled/Veterans/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity\nAmcor is an Equal Opportunity Employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.\nIf you would like more information about your EEO rights as an applicant under the law, please click on the \"Know Your Rights: Workplace Discrimination is Illegal\" Poster.
