They allow us to ensure the highest level of customer service by maintaining product standards and specifications.\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nTo carry out QC inspections on components manufactured on all production machines as required.\nTo ensure that all customer specific QC Inspections are completed.\nTo carry out post-production quality checks as required.\nTo continually identify process and product risks that may result in products not meeting customer requirements and reporting them to area management.\nTo identify opportunities for improvement to your supervisor, analyst or manager.\nTo comply with all area work instruction and personal hygiene requirements.\nTo liaise with department managers and shift supervisors on all quality related production problems.\nTo liaise with production and customer service on quality concerns, held production, Corrective Action/Preventive Action (CAPA) and quality Alerts.\nTo determine disposition of suspect product produced.\nTo comply with quality standards as set by the company and to co-operate in both internal and external audits as required.\nTo adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to: health and safety, quality, environmental management, and food safety\nTo ensure that the department is safe and clean.\nTo carry out administration and reporting as necessary.\nTo liaise with sales, customer service, corporate engineering, and the customer on the design and development of new products.\nTo liaise with the department managers with mold and tooling related production issues.\nProvide technical packaging support to production.\nAny other reasonable tasks requested by management.\nTo control and have responsibility for package development and quality of all components produced at the Valdosta facility.\nTo check that all components are designed and produced effectively, efficiently and to company and customer standards at all times.\nTo ensure all working practices and standards related to quality are adhered to.\nStaff are informed and held accountable for their food safety and regulatory responsibilities;\nStaff are positively encouraged and required to notify management of actual or potential food safety issues; and\nStaff are empowered to act to resolve food safety issues within their scope of work.\nOther duties as assigned \nEDUCATIONAL, SKILL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent.\nMinimum of 2 years’ experience in Quality Assurance. \nRegularly required to sit, stand or walk for long periods; use hands to finger, handle, or feel, objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms.\nGood computer skills required. \nGreat communication skills--verbal and written; must effectively communicate with employees, vendors, and customers.\nIndependent in working effectively with little supervision; self-starter, displaying ability to work and deliver results in a fast-paced, performance driven environment.\nGood attention to detail, time management skills, organization and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work as a cross-functional team member.\nKnowledge of GFSI or other food packaging standards.\nOur Expectations\nWe expect our people to be guided by The Amcor Way and demonstrate our Values every day to enable the business to win.
