Work closely with Quality Coordinator, develops, implements, maintains, and continually improves the facility’s quality management\nsystem to ensure compliance with internal, customer, and regulatory\nrequirements.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may\nbe assigned.\n Provides supervision of Quality Inspectors/Auditors.\n Provides technical support to plant personnel on various quality functions and\nspecialized software applications.\n Serves as the facility ISO 9000 Management Representative.\n Communicates quality results to the organization, and as needed to the\ncustomer.\n Establishes and maintains the organization’s quality documentation system,\nwhich includes the quality policy, quality objectives, quality manual, quality\nprocedures, work instructions, quality records, and other supportive quality\ndocuments to ensure compliance with specified requirements.\n Serves as a liaison with the customer regarding quality issues, and works closely\nwith the customer to continually improve the organization’s quality management\nsystem in order to meet or exceed the customer’s requirements.\n Manages internal and supplier audit process; establishes scheduling; prepares\nchecklists; assigns audit teams; conducts audits; issues corrective actions; and\nmonitors effectiveness of corrective actions.\n Responsible for processing vendor claims and monitoring supplier performance.\n Effectively interacts with all departments, suppliers, and customers in support of\nintegrated management system processes.\n Serves as a technical resource for problem-solving regarding quality issues and\nchromatographic problems, both at the local and sector levels.\n Serves as liaison with external auditors, and maintains quality system\ncertification.\n Maintains and follows all company policies and procedures for OHSE, personal\nprotection, and hazard materials/waste handling according to established\nguidelines.\n Participates in continuous improvement efforts intended to add value and to\npromote customer satisfaction.\n Supports and promotes OHSE objectives and ISO 14000, and OHSAS 18000\nrequirements.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nThe individual in this position must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends\nwhen needed. Experience should include supervision of a work group, management of\nquality systems, computer software experience, including database management,\nand technical expertise in chromatography and statistical process control; strong oral\nand written communication skills, knowledge of ISO Standard requirements, and\nexperience with Agilent gas chromatographs, chromatographic software and quality\nmanagement software systems is desirable.\n C.I. training to include LSS, Green Belt, Quality systems.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by\nan employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
