As a key member of our world-class, performance-driven team, you’ll be responsible for implementing and monitoring quality systems plant wide.\nKey Job Accountabilities\nAs part of the Quality Team, you’ll be responsible for…\nServe as the backup SQF Practitioner for Food Safety & ISO Management Representative.\nAct as HACCP Team backup & support monthly audits & food safety compliance activities.\nAssist the Quality Manager in maintaining compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Safe Quality Food (SQF) requirements, food safety regulations, and quality management systems.\nDemonstrate continuous vigilance and active participation in GMP, SQF, and quality system initiatives.\nPrevent nonconforming products from being shipped by identifying, documenting, investigating, and resolving product, process, and quality system issues.\nInitiate and support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to eliminate nonconformities and reduce the risk of recurrence.\nSupport process, product, and test method validation activities by developing, executing, and documenting protocols for new and existing processes.\nEvaluate and implement new measurement techniques and quality tools to improve process repeatability, reproducibility, and overall product quality.\nAnalyse quality and production data and present findings to site management to identify improvement opportunities, focus areas, and performance trends.\nFacilitate statistical analysis and continuous improvement projects using tools such as SPC, CpK analysis, defect trending, complaint trending, and machine capability studies.\nAssist in the administration and functionality of SPC data collection systems, and automated quality measurement equipment.\nEngage employees in problem-solving activities, root cause analysis, and risk assessments to improve product quality and operational performance.\nLead or assist with customer complaint investigations & verification of corrective actions.\nRecommend, implement, and verify the effectiveness of continuous improvement initiatives for products, processes, and quality systems.\nDrive the continual improvement of plant processes and quality procedures while reducing Total Incident Costs (TICs) and supporting EBITDA objectives.\nCollaborate closely with customers to understand quality expectations and support future projects and initiatives.\nServe as an internal audit team member and support audit preparation, execution, and follow-up activities as needed.\nPromote and enforce all plant safety rules, GMP policies, ISO standards, SQF requirements, and Quality Management System procedures.\nAssist with emergency situations & provide directions to team members when necessary.\nSupport and participate in 5S initiatives and workplace organization projects to improve efficiency, safety, and operational effectiveness.\nFollow all departmental procedures, policies, and directives.\nPerform other duties and special projects as assigned.\nQualifications/Requirements\nEducation:Bachelor’s Degree in Quality, Engineering or related field of study.\nOr equivalent combination of training and relevant work experience.\n\nSkills/Experience:\nThree years of experience in Quality.\nUnderstanding of Quality programs, Six Sigma & audit procedures for ISO, SQF & HACCP.\nWorking knowledge of customer audits, product line, and requirements.\nProven ability to identify & prioritize major areas of opportunity & take appropriate actions.\nProficient computer skills.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to handle confidential information.\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.\nAbility to work a flexible schedule.\nTravel as needed.\nPersonality/Attributes:\nSafety-driven mindset with proactive risk-reduction behaviour.\nDetail-oriented and committed to quality and compliance.\nEffective communicator who maintains strong working relationships.\nCalm, decisive, and effective during emergencies.\nReliable, accountable, and consistent in expectations and follow-through.\nAdditional Requirements:\n PPE Required -Requirements are proper hearing protection, safety glasses (prescription if required), steel-toed shoes, hairnet, and beard net.\n Information Ordering -- The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations)\n Near Vision -- The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
