Leads by example and exhibits professionalism in all areas when representing Amcor inside and outside of the plant.\nWork in a professional manner with other associates to ensure only quality product being released to the customer.\nEnsure product is running in accordance with the production schedule, walk the floor to become familiar with the products that are running.\nCollect samples from each injection molding machine, secondary process, and print line for the required attribute / dimensional / functional testing per the specified frequency. Record the results on the appropriate forms. \nNotify the Shift Supervisor of any non-conformances that are found. Monitor active concerns for prompt resolution and elevate issue up the Management chain if the non-conformance is not being addressed.\nNotify Quality Assurance Manager of any quality defects which are not corrected promptly.\nIdentify non-conforming product with “Hold” labels and update the hold log.\nPerform in-process attribute verifications and document checks. Record the results on the Quality Monitor.\nPerform first shot verifications and document the results using the appropriate forms.\nAssist as necessary with LDR verifications.\nNotify the Quality Assurance Manager immediately of any Quality Department equipment deficiencies.\nundefined\nMaintain a safe working environment.\nResponsible for ensuring quality and housekeeping standards are maintained.\nEnsure a smooth transition between shifts by communicating any ongoing concerns / lingering issues to incoming technician.\nVarious other duties as assigned.\nEDUCATIONAL, SKILL, & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent.\nPrior experience in fast-paced manufacturing environment; plastic manufacturing highly preferred.\nTechnical background and/or experience in Quality Assurance highly preferred.\nRegularly required to sit, stand or walk for long periods; use hands to finger, handle, or feel, objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms.\nGood computer skills required. \nSkilled in the use of measuring devices, such as height gages and calipers.\nGood mathematics skills required.\nFrequent exposure to production floor; required use of PPE including but not limited to: Bump Cap, Safety Eyewear or Prescription Safety Eyewear, Safety Shoes, Hair/beard nets, Hearing Protection and Disposable Mask.\nAbility to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.\nFrequently exposed to fumes, or airborne particles.\nFrequently works near moving mechanical parts.\nGood communication skills--verbal and written; must effectively communicate with employees, vendors, and customers.\nIndependent in working effectively with little supervision; self-starter, displaying ability to work and deliver results in a fast-paced, performance driven environment.\nGood attention to detail, time management skills, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work as a cross-functional team member.\nundefined\nOur Expectations\nWe expect our people to be guided by The Amcor Way and demonstrate our Values every day to enable the business to win.
