This internship offers a unique opportunity to apply your classroom knowledge in a real-world setting, contribute to safety and quality initiatives, and develop technical skills that will set the foundation for a successful career in advanced manufacturing.\nKey Accountabilities\nUse caution and support systems to assure safety event free facilities\nObserve, respond and report any instance of equipment non-conformity, or significant threat of resulting non-conforming product\nRespond to any emergency or potential emergency following established procedures\nSecurity diligence, including maintaining control of key cards, preventing unauthorized entry to company facilities by non-employees, and proper maintenance / security of the company equipment and information\nPause activities and notify Safety lead in any facility regarding instances of potentially unsafe work environment or employee practices\nInitiate action to prevent occurrences of any non-conformity of product or quality systems.\nInitiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channelsSuggest actions for continual improvement to products, processes, or systems and verify the implementation of solutions\n\nAssist superiors in any day to day activity\nMaintain cleanliness of the shop\nManufacturing area activites:Complete manual machining and supervised CNC machine operation as needed\n\nAssist with general shop maintenance:Develop an understanding of machine functions and the setup process.\nRead blue prints\nUse precision measuring tools to accurately record dimensions of components\n\nTooling Design area activities:Generate tooling component CAD models and detail drawings using SolidWorks\nParticipate in reverse engineering activities\nMaintain and release CAD data for manufacturing\nProvide technical support as needed for new and existing tooling\n\nMiscellaneous activities:Sort and organize hard copy and electronic documents for the Tooling Group\nScan Documents and Records for archive purposes\nAdd, edit, replace or remove archive documents as directed\nComplete Mold Manual maintenance\n\nData Entry:Assist Finance, Purchasing and Scheduling personnel as requested\nCreate files or log shop information as needed\nMaintain reports related to project shipments, labor, and efficiencies \n\nQualifications\nHigh School Diploma, required\nCurrently enrolled in a Vincennes University's MIP Program.\nStrong organizational skills with ability to multi-task.\nAble to work effectively and efficiently with little supervision.\nAble to work with basic Microsoft Office programs.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nOur Expectations\nWe expect our people to be guided by The Amcor Way and demonstrate our Values every day to enable the business to win.
