AMD

AMD is an American semiconductor company founded in 1969 and headquartered in Santa Clara, California, that designs processors, graphics chips and adaptive computing hardware without owning fabrication plants. Its Ryzen and Threadripper processors and Radeon graphics serve consumers and creators, EPYC server chips have taken a large share of the data centre market from Intel, and the Instinct accelerators compete for AI training and inference workloads. The 2022 acquisition of Xilinx added field-programmable gate arrays and adaptive systems on chip, and the company also supplies the custom silicon inside the PlayStation and Xbox consoles.

THE ROLE

AMD is looking for an experienced creative leader to serve as the dedicated Creative Lead for our Consumer Client business. As part of the AMD Brand + Creative team, reporting to the Head of Creative, you will be the primary creative partner to the Consumer Client marketing team and will shape the ideas, stories, and creative systems that bring AMD-powered consumer PC experiences to market.

You will translate segment strategy, product value, and audience insight into distinctive, audience-first creative across launches, integrated campaigns, social, web, creator partnerships, paid media, retail, experiential, and always-on content. Beyond leading individual assignments, you will help establish creative frameworks for the Consumer Client portfolio, connecting campaigns and content programs so they build on one another rather than operate as separate initiatives.

This role requires an AI-enabled storyteller with strong video and motion fluency who can lead creative development across modern production approaches, from concepting, visualization, and pre-production through traditional, hybrid, and generative image and video execution, operating within AMD’s brand guidelines.

You will partner closely with Consumer Client marketing, product marketing, social, media, web, PR, regional teams, external agencies, production partners, and creative technology. You will help create repeatable content systems that improve speed, adaptability, and asset reuse while maintaining a high standard of craft, originality, and AMD brand integrity.

THE PERSON

You are a collaborative, solutions-oriented creative leader with strong storytelling instincts and a clear understanding of consumer behavior, culture, and modern content ecosystems.

You combine creative ambition with sound strategic judgment. You can develop original concepts, shape compelling narratives, and guide teams through ambiguity. You understand how to create a powerful hero expression and translate it into a modular system that remains relevant across audiences, channels, markets, and moments.

You are fluent in video- and motion-led storytelling and understand how consumers engage with technology brands across social platforms, creator ecosystems, retail, web, paid media, experiential touchpoints, and emerging AI-driven discovery environments.

You are an AI-enabled storyteller who understands where generative workflows can improve speed, flexibility, and scale and where human craft is essential.

You are also a strong steward of quality. You can distinguish original, effective, and brand-right work from generic output, establish clear expectations early, and give teams and partners the direction they need to solve creative problems effectively.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the dedicated creative leader and primary Brand + Creative partner for the Consumer Client marketing segment.
  • Develop an informed creative point of view based on Consumer Client audiences, business priorities, product roadmaps, and competitive context.
  • Lead creative development for Consumer Client campaigns, launches, and always-on content from brief through execution.
  • Partner with marketing leaders to strengthen briefs, clarify the audience opportunity, and establish the creative ambition and quality bar.
  • Develop and sell in creative concepts to marketing and business partners, clearly communicating the audience insight, strategic rationale, and creative opportunity.
  • Recommend integrated campaign and content architectures that connect launches, campaigns, and ongoing programs into a coherent Consumer Client creative ecosystem.
  • Develop audience-first ideas that translate product strategy and complex technologies into stories that drive engagement, memorability and discoverability.
  • Drive video- and motion-led storytelling across hero films, short-form content, social, product storytelling, retail, and supporting asset systems.
  • Build modular, multi-channel creative systems that adapt across paid, owned, earned, social, creator, retail, web, regional, and experiential touchpoints.
  • Lead agencies and production partners toward high standards of strategic thinking, originality, craft, consistency, and channel relevance.
  • Collaborate with the Creative Technologist and other partners to incorporate AI-enabled workflows into concepting, visualization, storyboarding, image and video development, adaptation, and versioning.
  • Define and uphold creative guardrails for AI-enabled output, ensuring work is distinctive, accurate, on-brand, and production-ready.
  • Use audience behavior, performance signals, and campaign learnings to improve creative approaches over time.
  • Partner with the Gaming and Commercial Client Creative Leads to share standards, tools, and reusable approaches while maintaining segment-specific audience relevance.
  • Develop and present clear creative recommendations, influence stakeholders, and build alignment across marketing, product, business, creative, and senior leadership audiences.
