This role is essential to the success of the business. This role reviews financial data and performs strategic analyses and reporting (e.g., profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow, pricing, etc.) to influence decisions within the business and to drive cross-business initiatives.\nTHE PERSON:\nThe ideal candidate should have a bias for action, a high sense of collaboration, and the ability make recommendations in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, we are looking for a teammate with leadership experience that will take ownership of the role, drive improvements in execution, and implement standardized work.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITES:\nServe as the Finance GOQ lead for AMD’s New business model\nEngage/Lead core finance processes including Long-range planning, Annual Operating Plans, and intra-quarter Outlooks \nPerform financial analysis and provide decision analysis support for programs and special projects. \nCoordinate with and provide operational finance mentorship to various organizations and individuals across cross-functional teams such as Corporate Financial Planning, Accounting, Busines Unit finance, and Global Operations and Quality Unit. \nPrepare and disseminate timely and accurate financial information to allow the business to plan, forecast, and make decisions using controlled and consistent data \nTake full ownership of and accountability for ongoing reports providing validation and supporting documentation to business partners as required \nPerform scenario analysis & planning to be used for decision making and approvals (e.g. contract amortizatization, gross margin analysis, cash forecast). \nIdentify potential opportunities for operational improvement to existing processes and cadence \nAssist in providing valuable management decision support, driving key business goals, identifying major trends and corresponding business issues \nPREFFERED EXPERIENCE:\nSelf-starter with excellent interpersonal communication, teaming, and problem-solving skills \nConfirmed financial leadership optimal supporting Business leaders in a high-growth environment \nMust be able to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment \nRobust analytical skills required and the ability to turn sophisticated data and concepts into valuable information to present in a simple/understandable manner \nHardworking, proactive, and dynamic individual with the ability to work in teams and with all levels of an organization as well as work independently \nValidated experience - preferably in a global fast-paced driven multi-site high-tech environment \nACADEMIC CREDITIALS:\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in related discipline preferred\nThis role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.\nBenefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.\nAMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
