You will be a member of a core team of incredibly talentedindustry specialists and will work with the very latest hardware and software technology.\nTHE PERSON:\nThe ideal candidate should be passionate about software engineering and possess leadership skills to lead the architecture, development, and optimization of safety-critical firmware for next-generation Automotive ISP platforms. Able to communicate effectively and work optimally with different teams across AMD.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nDefine and drive firmware architecture for automotive ISP and camera processing platforms.\nDesign, develop, optimize, and debug embedded firmware in C for real-time, safety-critical systems.\nLead development of device drivers, interrupt handling, DMA, memory management, boot flows, and hardware abstraction layers.\nDrive hardware-software integration, platform bring-up, and system-level debugging.\nCollaborate with silicon, Linux drivers, safety, and validation teams to deliver robust firmware solutions.\nLead technical reviews and drive engineering best practices.\nIdentify technical risks and execute mitigation strategies across complex programs.\nMentor engineers and provide technical leadership.\nWork with AMD’s architecture specialists to improve future products\nStay informed of software and hardware trends and innovations, especially pertaining to algorithms and architecture\nParticipating in new ASICand hardware bring ups \nDebugging/fixexisting issuesand research alternative, more efficient ways to accomplish the same work\nDevelop technical relationships with peers andpartners\nPREFERRED EXPERIENCE:\n14+ years of embedded software or firmware development experience.\nExpert-level proficiency in Embedded C and real-time embedded systems with ability to write high quality code with a keen attention to detail\nAutomotive ISP firmware and camera processing pipelines.\nARM Cortex-R52 architecture and multicore systems.\nHands-on experience with SafeRTOS or other safety-certified RTOS environments\nDevice drivers, interrupts, DMA, memory management, and boot loaders.\nExperience with Image sensors and ISP hardware interfaces\nHardware-software integration and platform bring-up\nPerformance optimization and profiling.\nDebugging using JTAG, Lauterbach Trace32, or any other embedded debugging tools.\nExperience withmodern concurrent programming and threading APIs\nExperience with software development processes and tools such as source code control systems (GitHub) and profilers is a plus\nEffective communicationand problem-solving skills\nMotivatingleaderwith good interpersonal skills\nACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:\nBachelor’s or Master'sdegree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent\nBenefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.\nAMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
