The team builds and supports the platforms, automation, and developer tools that enable engineering teams to build, test, and deliver products efficiently.\nIn this role, you will work with Kubernetes, GitHub, CI/CD, Perforce, Artifactory, Linux, and other infrastructure technologies. You will help improve platform reliability, automate engineering workflows, and create a better experience for developers across AMD. This position offers broad technical exposure and the opportunity to work with engineering teams across the organization.\nTHE PERSON:\nYou are a motivated and collaborative engineer who enjoys solving problems across software, infrastructure, and developer tooling. You take ownership of your work, communicate effectively, and are eager to learn new technologies. You are comfortable working independently while knowing when to seek guidance.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nSupport and enhance Kubernetes-based platforms and containerized workloads.\nDevelop automation and reusable tools using Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform, or similar technologies.\nBuild and maintain CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions, GitHub Runners, Jenkins, or comparable tools.\nSupport developer platforms including GitHub, Perforce, Artifactory, and Harbor.\nTroubleshoot issues across Linux, containers, servers, and CI/CD environments.\nImprove platform monitoring, reliability, and operational efficiency.\nBuild self-service solutions that improve developer productivity.\nCollaborate with software, infrastructure, platform, and security teams.\nExplore opportunities to apply AI-assisted technologies to engineering and automation workflows.\nCuriosity and willingness to learn new technologies and work outside of an immediate area of expertise.\n\nPREFERRED EXPERIENCE:\nExperience with Kubernetes, Docker, or other container technologies.\nExperience with Linux systems and infrastructure environments.\nFamiliarity with Git, GitHub Actions, GitHub Runners, or comparable CI/CD tools.\nProgramming or scripting experience with Python, Go, Bash, or a similar language.\nFamiliarity with Terraform, Ansible, Helm, or related automation tools.\nExperience with Perforce, Artifactory, Harbor, monitoring, or observability tools is a plus.\nExposure to AI/ML, GenAI, or AI-assisted development is a plus.\nACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:\nBachelor’s or Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.\nLOCATION:\nSan Jose, California\nThis role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.\n#LI-DR2\nBenefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.\nAMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
