In this highly visible technical leadership role, you will drive product engineering strategy, characterization, validation, and test program development across the product lifecycle. Working closely with business leaders, design, platform validation, manufacturing, and product engineering teams, you will influence technical decisions, solve complex engineering challenges, and help ensure AMD products meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and customer satisfaction.\nTHE PERSON:\nYou are a collaborative technical leader who enjoys solving complex problems, influencing cross-functional teams, and driving results in fast-paced environments. You communicate effectively with both technical and executive audiences, mentor and develop engineers, and use data to guide decisions. You thrive when leading large initiatives, building alignment among stakeholders, and delivering innovations that impact multiple products and future technology roadmaps.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nLead product engineering activities to characterize and validate AMD products against customer requirements.\nDrive development and optimization of automated test programs, tools, and validation infrastructure.\nDefine test strategies, requirements, and technical plans with cross-functional engineering teams.\nLead root-cause analysis and resolution of complex product, test, and manufacturing issues.\nAnalyze engineering data to identify risks, improve efficiency, and enable informed decisions.\nDevelop and implement improvements to engineering methodologies, workflows, and processes.\nProvide technical leadership, mentorship, and clear communication of project status, risks, and recommendations.\nPREFERRED EXPERIENCE:\nProduct engineering, characterization, validation, test engineering, or product development experience for complex semiconductor products.\nTechnical leadership experience driving large engineering programs or cross-functional initiatives.\nDevelopment of test automation, validation frameworks, or engineering software solutions.\nProgramming experience with Python, C++, Bash, or similar languages.\nDebugging and problem-solving across hardware, software, and manufacturing environments.\nData analysis experience to support product quality, validation, and process optimization.\nExperience leveraging AI-powered tools or agent-based workflows for engineering productivity, debugging, or test optimization.\nACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field\n\nThis role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.\nBenefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.\nAMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
