As a contributor to the success of AMD’s ROCm profiling tool ecosystem, you will be part of a leading team to drive and improve the functionality, scalability, and interoperability of the tools. This is a deeply hands-on, individual contributor role focused on solution delivery, technical implementation, and performance engineering. It is not a people management, program management, or alliance management position.\nTHE PERSON:\nWe are seeking someone who is passionate about Software Development at AMD. The successful candidate must be an experienced modern C++ developer able to utilize agentic tools to increase productivity in developing and understanding complex code within a fast paced environment. The successful candidate is a strong communicator who can understand and convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nDefine and implement abstraction layers for data handling.\nImplement adapters for various data formats.\nWork closely with profiling tools teams and open-source code base\nCommunicate and collaborate across many teams to coordinate feature across profiling tools stack\nDesign, code, test and integrate features, enhancements and bug fixes into the profiling tools stack\nRefactor code bases to improve modularity and interoperability.\nImplement scalable data transfer solutions for multi-node distributed environments.\nExperience with production software quality assurance practices, methodologies, and procedures\nExcellent communication skills and experience working with global teams\nAble to adapt quickly to new code bases and contribute production level software to the profiling tools\nPREFERRED EXPERIENCE:\nAdvanced C++ (20+) development background and recent engagements is required.\nPython development background\nExperience in designing APIs and integrating them with large-scale applications.\nExperience with multi-threaded asynchronous codes, networking, client-server, and distributed models.\nProficiency in using AI tools for enhanced productivity in code development.\nExperience withDatabases.\nExperience with Linux, GitHub, Docker development environment.\nEffective communication and problem-solving skills \nFamiliarity with performance analysis tools and methods, is a plus\nACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:\nBachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.\nThis role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.\nBenefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.\nAMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
