Ability to work efficiently and manage effective relationships in a cross-functional organization to meet commitments for successful customer program launches. Must be self-directed and work in complex and dynamic ecosystems.\nTHE PERSON:\nAs a Program Manager, you will partner with cross-functional teams to manage customer accounts and portfolios and understand our customers' platforms/solutions. Identify and document customer requirementsand establish engineering schedules. Drive AMD product solution deliverables and alignment with customers’ platforms to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction throughout their product lifecycle.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nCustomer Ownership\nServe as primary support contact for all sustaining programs.\nUnderstand customer business goals; align customer needs with AMD priorities.\nAdvocate for customer satisfaction; manage requirements, critical issues, and escalations.\nProgram Management\nOwn sustaining program delivery: define schedules, milestones, success criteria, resources, and deliverables.\nCoordinate cross-functional teams (engineering, firmware, validation, QA, product, field ops, partners/OEMs) to drive decisions and resolve blockers.\nIdentify risks and technology dependencies; create mitigation and contingency plans and proactively escalate when needed.\nDrive release readiness: validation plans, customer previews, deployment playbooks, and handoffs to field engineering/customer success.\nProduce concise executive updates, program briefs, and status reports.\nProcess & Continuous Improvement\nImplement scalable program processes, tooling, and lessons learned to improve delivery speed and quality.\nContribute to executive briefs and participate in customer engagements and technical enablement.\n\nPREFERRED EXPERIENCE:\nDetail-oriented, self-driven with a strong sense of pride and ownership.\nHands-on experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Copilot), solid grasp of the AI lifecycle, machine learning models, data processing concepts, and cloud-based infrastructure. \nUtilizing AI to build or enhance automation scripts, dashboards, and tools that streamline release management and improve delivery efficiency.\nLeveraging AI to monitor Jira execution, analyze schedules and dependencies, risks and blockers.\nStrong technical fluency in Client Systems (hardware, BIOS/Firmware/Microcode, Validation/test process) and understanding of AI workload characteristics. \nProven ability to manage schedules, risk, requirement tracking, escalations, and stakeholder communications. \nExcellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable presenting to senior leadership.\nCollaborate in problem-solving and mitigating risks with Engineering, Program/Project Management, Business Units, and Product Management - both internal and external\nStrong knowledge of productivity and project tools including Jira, Confluence, Power BI.\nACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent; advanced degree preferred.\nFormal project management education, PMP / Scrum Master\nBenefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.\nAMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
