This role provides a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of chip architecture, Test Development, analytics, automation, and emerging AI technologies.\nYou will collaborate closely with chip leads, architects, DFT engineers, Product Engineering, and Test Development teams to solve complex engineering challenges spanning pre-silicon development through silicon bring-up and product execution. In addition to shaping test strategies and architecture, you will develop innovative solutions that improve engineering workflows, visibility, and operational efficiency across the semiconductor development lifecycle.\nTHE PERSON:\nThe ideal candidate is a systems thinker who enjoys solving challenging technical problems and driving continuous improvement. They are equally comfortable discussing chip-level architecture, analyzing engineering data, and developing solutions that simplify complex workflows.\nThe successful candidate is curious, collaborative, and self-driven, with strong communication skills and the ability to work across multiple organizations. They are passionate about understanding the bigger picture, identifying opportunities for improvement, and turning ideas into practical solutions that deliver measurable impact.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nDrive DFT and Test Development architecture discussions across FPGA, SoC, and chip-level environments.\nCollaborate with chip leads, architects, and engineering teams to develop end-to-end test solutions.\nSupport pre-silicon validation, silicon bring-up, debug, and product execution activities.\nDevelop dashboards, automation, and analytics solutions that improve engineering productivity and decision making.\nIdentify opportunities to apply AI and data-driven approaches to engineering workflows and operational challenges.\nLead cross-functional initiatives involving Design, DFT, Product Engineering, and Test Development organizations.\nDrive projects from concept through deployment, adoption, and continuous improvement.\nContribute to technical roadmaps that improve product quality, engineering effectiveness, and organizational productivity.\nPREFERRED EXPERIENCE:\nEmbedded C application and firmware development in FPGA and SoC environments.\nFamiliarity with RTL design and verification flows using Verilog/SystemVerilog\nAbility to understand RTL implementation at Chip level and debug design issues across hardware and firmware boundaries\nExperience with pre-silicon validation, silicon bring-up, and debug flows.\nUnderstanding of chip-level and SoC-level architecture.\nExperience developing analytics, automation, dashboarding, or productivity solutions is highly desirable.\nFamiliarity with Python, scripting, data analysis, and software development practices.\nInterest in applying AI technologies to engineering workflows, automation, and decision support.\nExperience leading cross-functional technical initiatives and collaborating across multiple engineering disciplines.\nACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:\nBachelor's degree preferred in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.\nMaster's degree preferred.\nAdditional coursework or certifications in software development, data analytics, AI/ML, or semiconductor design and test are desirable.\nLOCATION:\nSingapore\nBenefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.\nAMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
