In this high visibility position, your software systems engineering expertise will be necessary towards product strategy, requirements, modeling and projections.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nDeveloping and automating System Performance & Performance/Watt Modeling\nDirecting system-level data collection to feed performance & performance/watt modeling\nForecasting system performance across segments and competitive architectures with a time horizon of 5+ years\nDriving technical innovation to improve AMD’s system performance and performance/watt capabilities\nWorking closely with product planning teams to define future system performance requirements\nEngaging in other software/hardware modeling frameworks\nLeading collaborative approach with multiple teams including future workloads\nPREFERRED EXPERIENCE:\nPC system and APU/SOC performance and power management\nPrevious performance modeling development experience\nProgramming/scripting skills (e.g. C/C++, Perl, Ruby, Python)\nExtensive knowledge of system architecture, technical debug, and validation strategy\nStrong analytical/problem-solving skills and pronounced attention to details\nMust be a leader, and able to independently set direction and drive tasks to completion\nACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:\nBachelors or Masters degree in electrical or computer engineering\nBenefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.\nAMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
