As a key contributor you will be part of a leading team to drive and enhance AMD’s abilities to deliver the highest quality, industry-leading technologies to market.\nTHE PERSON:\nThe ideal candidate possesses an innovative and problem-solving mindset, has a keen eye for software design and development, and is diligent and passionate about technology. A successful candidate will need to employ strong knowledge in computer technologies, leadership skills in technical areas, and SW engineering expertise. Additionally, a strong knowledge in datacenter scale hardware and commodities such as CPUs, GPUs, DPUs, and network switches will help the candidate succeed.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nDevelop and drive execution of comprehensive, highly effective software for sophisticated new technology and new product introduction projects\nValidate new SW features before releasing themto customers\nWork directly with our customers to support and enable the manufacturing process\nContribute to a high-functioning feature team\nCollaborate closely with multiple teams to deliver key planning solutions and the technology to support them\nHelp contribute to the design and implementation of future architecture for a highly scalable, durable,and innovative system\nWork very closely with dev teams and Project Managers to drive results\nUp to 25% travel \nPREFERRED EXPERIENCE:\nExperience developing production-ready code in languages such as Python, C, Rust, C++, C#, Java, Javascript, Shell/Bash, or Powershell. \nSolid experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Containerd, and orchestration frameworks like Kubernetes or Slurm\nDeep understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems\nHands-on work with system board interfaces (i.e. I2C, PCIE, IPMI, and Redfish hardware interfaces), and networked communication protocols (i.e. TCP/IP, UDP)\nStrong understanding of software design principles, patterns, and best practices.\nPrevious experience in the hyperscale compute architecture space is not a requirement, but a significant plus\nFamiliarity with manufacturing processes and technologies is a plus.\nExcellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment.\nACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:\nBachelor’sor Master’sdegree in Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline\nThis role is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship.\nBenefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.\nAMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
