Join us and, together, we’ll advance your career.\n THE ROLE:\nAMD is seeking a Software Engineer, AI & Engineering Productivity Tools to build platforms, automation, and AI-powered tools that improve engineering productivity across ASIC design and verification teams.\nYou will develop full-stack applications, automate engineering workflows, enhance development infrastructure, and leverage modern AI-assisted development tools to help engineers work faster and more efficiently. The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering skills with a passion for DevOps, automation, and continuous improvement.\nTHE PERSON:\nYou are a pragmatic problem solver who enjoys eliminating inefficiencies and building scalable solutions. You have experience developing production-quality software, automating workflows, and improving developer productivity.\nYou are proficient with modern AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or OpenAI Codex and understand how to leverage them to accelerate software development and operational efficiency.\nYou thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working directly with engineering teams to identify problems and implement impactful solutions.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nBuild and maintain software platforms that improve engineering productivity and workflow efficiency.\nDevelop full-stack web applications, APIs, dashboards, and automation services.\nDrive DevOps best practices through CI/CD automation, monitoring, deployment, and infrastructure improvements.\nIdentify and eliminate manual processes through automation and tooling.\nIntegrate AI-driven capabilities into engineering workflows and software applications.\nSupport scalable regression and engineering execution systems.\nCollaborate with design, verification, and infrastructure teams to deliver high-impact solutions.\nImprove software reliability, scalability, performance, and maintainability.\nTechnical Expertise:\nExperience with frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.\nExperience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.\nExperience with Linux-based development environments.\nProficiency with Claude Code, Codex, or comparable AI-assisted development platforms.\nExperience building developer productivity or engineering workflow solutions.\nFamiliarity with semiconductor design, verification, simulation, or EDA workflows.\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nStrong Python software development experience.\nExperience building modern full-stack web applications.\nExperience developing REST APIs, backend services, and scalable applications.\nExperience with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based development workflows, and DevOps practices.\nStrong debugging, automation, and problem-solving skills.\nEDUCATION\nBachelor's or advanced degree (master’s or higher) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.\n#LI-BM1\n#LI-Hybrid\n Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.\n\nAMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
