The compiler needs to take a model in ONNX or PyTorch and produce optimized control and executable code for AIE VLIW processor array. Additionally, the compiler needs to handle partitioning between x86/embedded processor/FPGA fabric and AIE and generate code to interface with AMD AIE specific runtime and driver.\nTHE PERSON:\nThe ideal candidate should bepassionate about software development. The candidate should be able to communicate effectively and work optimally with different teams across AMD.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nIntegrate compiler and compiled model with ML Frameworks (such as ONNX and PyTorch)\nImplement model partitioning in ML Frameworks and/or MLIR\nImplement runtime to distribute work to and collect results from x86 cores and AIE cores\nDesign and develop new groundbreaking AMD technologies\nDebug and fix existing issues and research alternative, more efficient ways to accomplish the same work\nPREFERRED EXPERIENCE:\nStrong object-oriented programming background, C/C++ and Python\nML Compiler and Runtime technologies such as MLIR, LLVM\nCompiler building skills\nCode generation for a ML hardware accelerator\nMachine Learning concepts and model development experience\nUnderstanding of ONNX, PyTorch, etc.\nAbility to write high quality code with a keen attention to detail\nExperience with modern concurrent programming and threading APIs\nExperience with software development processes and tools such as debuggers, source code control systems (GitHub) and profilers is a plus\nEffective communication and problem-solving skills\nACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:\nBachelor’sor Master’sdegree in Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical disciplineThis role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.\n\nBenefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.\nAMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
