AMD

AMD is an American semiconductor company founded in 1969 and headquartered in Santa Clara, California, that designs processors, graphics chips and adaptive computing hardware without owning fabrication plants. Its Ryzen and Threadripper processors and Radeon graphics serve consumers and creators, EPYC server chips have taken a large share of the data centre market from Intel, and the Instinct accelerators compete for AI training and inference workloads. The 2022 acquisition of Xilinx added field-programmable gate arrays and adaptive systems on chip, and the company also supplies the custom silicon inside the PlayStation and Xbox consoles.

THE ROLE

You will join AMD’s Graphics Data Center and Accelerated Processing Validation organization, reporting to the Corporate Vice President of SoC/System Validation. In this highly visible role, you will lead program management for system and platform validation of AMD’s next-generation AI, machine learning, and high-performance computing products. You will drive execution across the full product lifecycle-from SoC planning and pre-silicon readiness through silicon bring-up, system integration, production qualification, and customer deployment. You will partner closely with Silicon Design and Architecture, Firmware, Software, Networking, Platform, Cluster, Manufacturing, and Business teams to deliver complex products at scale. This role requires a seasoned leader who can translate strategy into execution, establish clear ownership and operate mechanisms, anticipate risks, and drive timely decisions across a large global organization. THE PERSON

You are an accomplished program-management leader with experience delivering complex silicon, systems, or large-scale computing platforms. You combine strong technical understanding with disciplined execution, executive communication, and organizational leadership. You thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and are skilled at aligning diverse engineering and business teams around clear priorities and measurable outcomes. You are a change leader who develops talent, improves operating models, and creates accountability across organizational boundaries.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead end-to-end program planning and execution for Data Center GPU system and platform validation.
  • Drive readiness across pre-silicon validation, silicon bring-up, system integration, BKC delivery, production qualification, and customer deployment.
  • Establish integrated schedules, milestones, dependencies, success criteria, and executive-level program dashboards.
  • Identify critical-path risks early and drive cross-functional mitigation, escalation, and decision-making.
  • Lead program governance and operating rhythms across global engineering, validation, and business organizations.
  • Ensure clear ownership and accountability for deliverables spanning hardware, firmware, software, networking, systems, and clusters.
  • Partner with engineering leaders to align resources and priorities across multiple concurrent programs.
  • Drive continuous improvement based on lessons learned, execution metrics, and industry best practices.
  • Lead readiness reviews and communicate program status, risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations to senior executives.
  • Support critical customer engagements, escalations, and recovery plans as required.
  • Build, develop, and lead a high-performing global program-management organization.
  • Foster a culture of urgency, collaboration, transparency, and outcome-based accountability.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Extensive program-management experience within the semiconductor, enterprise systems, cloud infrastructure, or high-performance computing industries.
  • Proven success delivering complex SoC, server, GPU, platform, or cluster programs from definition through production.
  • Experience with AI/ML accelerators, Data Center GPUs, HPC systems, or large-scale computing infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of silicon, hardware, firmware, software, system, and cluster-level integration.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large, globally distributed, cross-functional organizations.
  • Experience leading Directors, Sr Managers, Senior Program Managers, Managers, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong command of program planning, dependency management, risk mitigation, resource alignment, and executive governance.
  • Proven ability to create clarity and drive decisions in highly complex and ambiguous environments.
  • Track record of improving execution methodologies, operating models, and organizational scalability.
  • Exceptional executive communication, influencing, negotiation, and cross functional Director, Sr. Directors, CVP & SVP stakeholder management skills
  • Experience engaging with strategic customers and managing high-priority escalations.
  • Ability to balance technical risk, schedule, quality, resources, and customer commitments.
