A successful candidate will need to employ strong knowledge in computer technologies, leadership skills in technical areas, and SW engineering expertise as well as a strong ability to compete effectively in a fast-paced, relevant environment while working with different teams of engineers and collaborators.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nDevelop and drive execution of comprehensive, highly effective software for sophisticated new technology and new product introduction projects\nValidate new SW features before releasing them to customers\nContribute to a high-functioning feature team\nCollaborate closely with multiple teams to deliver key planning solutions and the technology to support them\nHelp contribute to the design and implementation of future architecture for a highly scalable, durable, and innovative system\nWork very closely with dev teams and Project Managers to drive results\nPREFERRED EXPERIENCE:\nProgramming Languages: Expert knowledge and hands-on experience in C, C++\nDriver or Embedded Development: Solid experience with either kernel driver development or embedded development\nSoftware Engineering Fundamentals: Solid understanding of Software Engineering principles, including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, Operating Systems concepts, and multithreaded programming\n Development Tools & AI: Excellent design and code development skills using modern software tools and techniques for development and debugging - including commercial AI tools (Copilot, Claude, etc.) to boost development productivity and the ability to develop AI agents to automate development workflows\nAnalytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills\nGPU & Power Management: Experience with graphics, display or power management driver, preferably on a Windows based system\nACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline\nBenefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.\nAMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
