As a key contributor, you will build and own the testing infrastructure that keeps our ML training data generation systems running reliably at scale. of AMD's AI research and FSR technology development.\nTHE PERSON:\nYou are a systems thinker with a deep ownership mentality and a passion for building quality from the ground up. You bring strong automation and testing expertise, strong grasp of distributed systems and backend infrastructure, and enough graphics knowledge to reason about rendering data and pipelines. You are comfortable operating independently - defining test strategy, building frameworks, and executing without a pre-existing playbook. You thrive when given scope, not instructions.\nWHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO\nDesign and build automated testing infrastructure for our distributed job orchestration and compute platform, ensuring system reliability, API correctness, and stable operation 24/7.\nDevelop and maintain CI/CD pipelines that validate all commits to the platform codebase.\nDefine and implement test strategies for our data generation pipelines, covering functional correctness, performance regression, reliability under load, and output consistency.\nBuild validation tooling to verify the correctness of rendering output data - images, buffers, and associated metadata - used for ML model training.\nCollaborate with data generation engineers and tech leads to understand system requirements and translate them into test coverage.\nOwn test documentation, coverage standards, and quality reporting for the team.\nContribute to the design and implementation of future testing architecture as the team scales.\n YOUR EXPERIENCE\nProficient in Python and Pytest; strong automation testing skills with a track record of building reliable test frameworks.\nExperience testing backend services and distributed systems, including REST API validation.\nHands-on experience with CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions or similar) and ETL pipelines - essential for this role.\nStrong grasp of computer graphics fundamentals and rendering concepts.\nProficiency in Linux-based operating systems and comfort working in Linux environments.\nExperience with JIRA for defect tracking and Git for version control.\nStrong analytical and debugging skills with attention to data quality and correctness.\nExcellent communication skills; comfortable driving quality standards across engineering teams.\nNICE TO HAVE\nHands-on experience with D3D12, Vulkan, or other graphics APIs.\nExperience with performance profiling and measurement tooling (CPU/GPU profilers, benchmarking frameworks, or similar)\nFamiliarity with UI testing frameworks such as Playwright.\nKnowledge of Kubernetes and experience testing in cloud-native environments.\nExperience with rendering engines, Blender, or other 3D content creation tools.\nExperience with machine learning data pipelines or ML training workflows.\nFamiliarity with job orchestration platforms or distributed compute infrastructure.\nYOUR ACADEMIC BACKGROUND\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.\nBenefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.\nAMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
