The successful candidate will help drive results across AMD on behalf of Supply Chain Operations (SCO). Responsibilities include end-to-end instance timeline ownership and collaboration with internal teams and business owners to achieve those timelines and results.\nThe role also includes engaging and collaborating with Planning, BU, Customer operations, Logistics, Sales, Finance, Engineering, and other groups as required to resolve issues pertaining to supply chain.\nTHE PERSON:\nAbility to effectively and concisely communicate with upper management.\nAbility to collaborate across internal stakeholders to ensure business objectives are met on time.\nAbility to handle a high pressure/high volume workload.\nAbility to plan, organize, multi-task, and prioritize workload.\nAbility to work proactively and on own initiative.\nExceptional written and verbal communication skills.\nPassionate about spreadsheets, reporting, supply planning and analysis\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nProcess demand commits, customer order, and customer demand forecasts in SAP and internal forecast tool. \nPerform customer-centric value chain planning to improve customer service levels while reducing costs, thus positively impacting growth and profitability.\nIssue Factory builds instructions\nCollaborate with internal partners on forecast deltas based on actual customer demand\nATP ( Available to promise) planning after ERP plan to improve/meet current customer commitments\nPlan, schedule and monitor of the movement of product from customer order through delivery and shipment. \nMonitor materials/good movement to determine if inventory needs to be increased or decreased to meet customer’s production needs. \nCollaborate with internal partners on backlog reviews or customers’ pull in requests and ensure that delivery schedules are met in a timely manner and communicated to customers and internal sales department. \nUtilize ERP to analyze inventory reports, trends, discrepancies, and to find opportunities for improvement.\nMaintain inventory planning tool rules and supply profile to maximize demand commits.\nCollaborate with Logistics and OSATS for materials receipt in a timely manner to meet customer demand commits.\nLead and collaborate projects to drive improvements and efficiencies across the supply chain team.\nRun necessary reports to KPI monitoring and performance.\nManage backlog, analyze and resolve transactional issues that may prevent on time shipments and to ensure that the customer expectations are met or exceeded.\nDevelop and implement supply chain department best practices, procedures, and policies and ensures that the team stays on target.\nPREFERRED EXPERIENCE:\n6+ years of experience in Business and Supply Chain.\nAdvanced Excel proficiency (VLOOKUP/Pivot Tables).\nProficiency in a larger ERP system (SAP, JDE, Oracle, etc.).\nKnowledge of lean manufacturing principles, six-sigma, and just-in-time processes.\nExperience in process improvement and continuous improvement projects.\nPrevious experience building out best practices in supply chain and defining KPIs and key metrics.\nACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:\nBachelor’s Degree or Masters in Supply Chain, Business, or Math related is preferred.\nSix Sigma Black Belt and Lean Certifications a plus.\nLOCATION:\nPenang, Malaysia\nBenefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.\nAMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
