This is an individual contributor who will be supporting Datacenter Platform Engineering Group teams to consolidate, review, communicate and analyze for delivering the justified, aligned, well-prepared NPI project as part of deliverable to either AMD potential customers or internal AMD core teams for design validation.\nTHE PERSON:\nProficiency in supply chain principles and skills.\nWell knowledge of BOM structure of PCBA/server/Rack.\nAdvanced analytical and communications skills\nStrong multitasking and prioritizing skills.\nProficiency with Microsoft office applications and advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nEngineering Collaboration\nPartnered with Engineering to select optimal solutions balancing cost, supply continuity, and scalability.\nReviewed and advised on draft component BOMs to prevent EOL, NRND, incorrect PN, or industry-unique parts from entering AMD designs.\nIdentified part leverage opportunities with Engineering to optimize cost and sourcing efficiency.\nCollaborated with Engineering on new tooling requests (e.g., connectors, chipset heatsinks), aligning technical needs with investment strategy.\nEngaged directly with CM vendors to support Engineering’s component studies, reviews, and dummy board population within AMD core teams.\nNPI Management & Material Readiness\nActively participated in all NPI activities, maintaining end-to-end visibility of project status with Engineering.\nCoordinated NPI sample demand planning with TPM/PjM to ensure timely material availability.\nDrove material shortage mitigation plans to protect NPI builds and schedules.\nRisk Mitigation & Supply Resilience\nAccessed and communicated material supply risk, cost impact, and excess exposure resulting from spec and EC changes. Collaborated with CM vendors to reduce excess exposure for each design/production phase.\nAdvanced multi-source readiness in partnership with TPM and CE to reduce single-source risk.\nWorked with Engineering to define OOC and geo-diversification strategies to strengthen supply resilience.\nDeveloped and executed risky-buy strategies supporting both NPI and mass production ramps.\nCost Management & Settlement\nWorked with TPM and Engineering to establish costed BOMs and clarify NRE assumptions at each NPI milestone.\nLed product cost and NRE reviews, bridging gaps and negotiating with CM vendors.\nPrepared budgetary pricing for internal and external stakeholders to support early decision-making.\nDrove budgetary approval processes to unlock NPI and supplier readiness.\nSupply Chain Enablement\nManaged POs end-to-end-from creation through delivery.\nDefined business and supply-chain models aligned with platform and CSP requirements.\nPartnered with MPM to review manufacturing fixture needs and capacity plans based on CSP enablement requests.\nCoordinated CM deliverables to enable CSP-assigned manufacturing partners.\nPREFERRED EXPERIENCE:\nExperience in the Server OEM/ODM Manufacturing or Server /System Solution industry\nDirect experience in cost management, procurement or supply chain function is a plus.\nFamiliar with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, including but not limited to the ability to analyze data using pivots.\nProficiency in English and Bilingual in Mandarin preferred.\nACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:\nBachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or related field preferred.\nLOCATION:\nTaipei, Taiwan\nBenefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.\nAMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
