In this role, you will partner with design, manufacturing, assembly, product engineering, testing, system integrators, and suppliers to ensure products achieve the highest levels of quality from initial release through full lifecycle deployment. You will lead data-driven quality improvements, supplier engagement, advanced analytics initiatives, and customer-focused problem resolution while influencing quality, reliability, and process improvements across global operations. You will also lead quality readiness assessments and manufacturing quality execution during NPI transitions and production ramp.\nTHE PERSON:\nThe successful candidate is a highly motivated quality leader with deep expertise in networking hardware, supplier quality, and manufacturing processes. excellence.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nDrive supplier and internal technical organizations, including design, assembly, manufacturing, and product testing teams, to achieve high-quality product releases through review of test plans, qualification results, failure rates, DFx, xFMEA, NUDD, and supplier-led failure analysis.\nCoordinate and manage quality activities with a focus on issue resolution, part approval, process control, quality assurance during NPI, advancement of analytics capabilities, risk identification, and mitigation planning.\nDrive quality improvements related to design, materials, and manufacturing processes throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring critical quality data and test telemetry are sourced from system integrators and customers.\nMonitor factory and field nonconformance metrics for switch products, including manufacturing yield, first-pass yield excursions, hardware replacement rates, and field quality performance, while driving process improvements and corrective actions.\nLead root cause investigations and corrective action implementation utilizing 8D, 5-Why, statistical analysis, and industry-standard quality methodologies.\nCollect and analyze large amounts of data to identify product and process performance trends, providing actionable recommendations to improve quality, reliability, and operational efficiency.\nDrive switch debug and issue resolution activities involving both firmware and hardware defects.\nDefine switch supplier build report expectations, including reporting frequency, required quality metrics, expected data, yield monitoring, and escalation requirements.\nManage field and customer escalations as the primary quality interface with suppliers, driving containment, root cause identification, corrective actions, and long-term resolution of quality excursions.\nServe as an advocate for the customer through deep manufacturing knowledge, timely follow-through, and strong customer focus.\nCapture supplier and customer feedback, track lessons learned and drive continuous improvement in quality and reliability performance against AMD and customer requirements.\nTravel to supplier locations as needed to support manufacturing quality initiatives, supplier audits, investigations, and continuous improvement activities.\nPREFERRED EXPERIENCE:\nStrong technical understanding of switch architectures, networking systems, AI fabric interconnects, and system-level quality concepts.\nExperience applying DFx, xFMEA, NUDD, root cause analysis methodologies, statistical process control principles, reliability testing, failure analysis, and corrective action processes.\nExperience supporting cloud service providers, hyperscale customers, networking OEMs, AI infrastructure deployments, or data center networking environments.\nProven experience developing process quality plans and driving effective 8D corrective and preventive actions in complex hardware manufacturing environments.\nProven experience leading quality excursions and resolving complex manufacturing, supplier, field, customer, and product quality issues, including executive-level quality reviews and management of critical customer escalations.\nStrong analytical skills with the ability to derive data-driven insights from large datasets, switch telemetry, manufacturing yield metrics, field quality data, and automated test infrastructure, and influence technical decision-making.\nExperience working with Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs), Contract Manufacturers (CMs), and suppliers to establish manufacturing quality requirements, drive accountability, and improve operational quality performance.\nExperience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI), manufacturing ramp, and production readiness activities, including design validation testing (DVT), qualification reviews, process validation, risk assessments, yield improvement initiatives, and deployment of quality control plans.\nAbility to effectively interface with all levels of an organization, including executive leadership, customers, suppliers, and cross-functional technical teams.\nDemonstrated leadership skills with the ability to organize, prioritize, and drive complex issues to closure in fast-paced matrix environments.\nExperience with data center switch platforms, merchant silicon switch architectures (Broadcom, NVIDIA, Marvell, or equivalent), high-speed optical interconnects, rack-scale networking solutions, AI networking infrastructure, or hyperscale networking environments is highly desirable.\nFamiliarity with hardware and firmware interaction within complex networking platforms, including troubleshooting system-level integration, interoperability, platform reliability issues, and reliability qualification methodologies such as HALT, HASS, environmental stress testing, and accelerated life testing.\nExperience defining supplier quality scorecards, manufacturing KPI dashboards, escalation frameworks, and quality management processes to drive measurable quality improvements.\nExperience with Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, JIRA, or similar analytics and reporting tools.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong sense of urgency, self-motivation, and customer focus.\nACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical
