You will work across engineering and business functions to meet product objectives, drive schedules, and ensure resource and infrastructure readiness. The role blends strategic project management with hands-on execution, process definition, project structure, and continuous improvement.\nTHE PERSON:\nYou are a proactive and highly organized technical project manager with strong execution skills and the ability to manage complex dependencies across hardware, firmware, and software. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, communicate clearly with engineering and executive stakeholders, and excel at driving schedules, resolving issues, and maintaining strong cross-functional relationships. You bring structure, accountability, and operational discipline to project execution.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nDefine, plan, and drive projects and project plans based on management and senior technical guidance.\nDevelop project schedules considering drivers, software stack components, hardware/firmware dependencies, and negotiate staffing plans.\nManage the end-to-end cluster development cycle, including forecasting, sourcing, procurement, and infrastructure readiness.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define dependencies, eliminate process gaps, and prevent delays.\nMaintain the Plan of Record (POR) and hold teams accountable for deliverables.\nEstablish, enforce, and refine processes to achieve operational efficiency.\nParticipate in forums to provide concise updates to executives and engineering teams.\nBuild and maintain formal project management artifacts (Plan of Record, statements of work, timelines, budget, scope, KPIs).\nPlan for risks, identify prevention methods, and drive issue resolution to optimize engineering costs.\nCommunicate project concepts, milestones, and progress regularly with stakeholders.\nPREFERRED EXPERIENCE:\nMultiple years of technical project management experience leading integrated system-level solutions spanning hardware and software.\nProven self-starter with a record of taking initiative and delivering results.\nExcellent communication, executive presentation, and problem-solving skills.\nStrong organization and planning skills with experience driving development schedules and managing project risk.\nProactive in involving the appropriate contributors in planning, decision-making, and implementation.\nSkilled in problem resolution with internal and external engineering groups.\nThrives in fast-paced environments and maintains productive cross-functional relationships.\nExperience with JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, Teams, and data analysis using visual dashboards (pivot tables, PowerBI, etc.).\nExperience with Agile methodology.\nEngineering background preferred.\nACADEMIC CREDENTIALS\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or with a Master's degree preferred. \nFormal Project Management education; PMP certification/designation is a plus.\nLOCATION: Temple, TX\nThis role is not eligible for visa sponsorship\nBenefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.\nAMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
