You will be a member of a core team of incredibly talented industry specialists and will work with the very latest hardware and software technology. \n\nThe Person\n\nThe ideal candidate should be passionate about software engineering and possess leadership skills to drive sophisticated issues to resolution. Able to communicate effectively and work optimally with different teams across AMD.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nStrong object-oriented programming background in C++ \nAbility to write high quality code with a keen attention to detail \nExperience with modern concurrent programming and threading APIs \nExperience with Linux operating system development  \nExperience with software development processes and tools such as debuggers, source code control systems (GitHub) and profilers is a plus \nEffective communication and problem-solving skills \nMotivating leader with good interpersonal skills\n\nPreferred Experience\n\nExperience in a hands-on software engineering, development, and/or architectural leadership role\nB.E/B.Tech/B.S or M.E/MS in CS, EE or CE with 12+ years of software development experience\nSolid knowledge of software fundamentals \nStrong C++ Development background and exposure to large design patterns based codebase\nBackground in EDA tools preferred\nConsistent record in engineering execution, delivery software on time with high quality and achieving premium high-performance software solutions  \nProven track record of planning and delivering complex system software products  \nExperience leading multiple projects with competing priorities \nStrong project management skills and experience with project management techniques such as scheduling, budgeting, and risk management \nDisciplined approach to problem solving and ability to make business decisions in a technical environment \nStrong Interpersonal, verbal, and written skills \nSelf-motivated with an ability to multi-task \n\nAcademic Credentials\n\nBS or MS degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Electrical or Computer Engineering  with 12+ years of experience\n\nBenefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.\n\nAMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
