Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain the CBP Background Investigation Suitability Clearance.\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.\nMust hold a current airframe and power plant mechanic (A&P) license.\nMust be competent and knowledgeable in the repair and maintenance of airframes, hydraulics, fuel systems, and aircraft engines.\nRequires broad knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modification and repair.\nMust possess a working knowledge of military and general aviation aircraft airframe and engine logbooks.\nMust have basic knowledge of electrical theory.\nMust have thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, mircormeters, sheet metal brakes and sheers.\nRequires working knowledge of technical publications.\nAble to follow base, federal and Company procedures for handling and disposal of hazardous waste materials.\nMust be proficient in Office software applications to communicate through e-mail and various software applications.; especially Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.\nAbility to meet required deadlines and maintain necessary workflow.\nAbility to read, write, understand and communicate in the English language and follow both verbal and written instruction.\nMust be able to read, write, speak and understand English.\nThe ability to read and write and comprehend/interpret data.\nPhysical Requirements/Working Environment:\nBe physically able to perform aircraft mechanic duties.\nAbility to move freely about the interior and in the unpressurized area aft of the aft pressure bulkhead and meet aircraft specific specs for weight limit.\nStand, squat, sit, walk, work with arms overhead for extended periods of time.\nPull, push, lift up to 50 lbs.\nOn occasions, individuals may also be required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail, thus requiring the use of adequate ear protection.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPrefer 3-5 years of experience working full-time as an aircraft mechanic.\nPrefer FAA Inspection Authorization\nCompensation Details:\nHourly Rate: $37.96 (plus hardship pay up to 40 hours)Original Posting:\n09/28/2026 - Until FilledAmentum anticipates this job requisition will remain open for at least three days, with a closing date no earlier than three days after the original posting.
