Work is performed at a Navy Training Command located at Naval Amphibious (NAB) Coronado, CA.\nResponsibilities:\nConduct preventive and corrective maintenance\n\nOperate and control casualties of propulsion systems in-port and underway on Navy watercraft\n\nExecute pre-start and post-operation checks\n\nAdhere to Amentum’s Ethics Program, Workplace Environment, and Occupational Safety standards\n\nMaintain cleanliness of assigned work areas or craft\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\nMust be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location\n\nExperience as a Navy Boatswain's Mate, Navy Quartermaster, Navy Operations Specialist, OR equivalent civilian experience\n\nAbility to perform classroom instruction, underway laboratory training, preventive and corrective maintenance, and preservation of Navy craft and support equipment\n\nQualified as a Navy Second Class Swimmer or equivalent\n\nAvailability to work alternate schedules as required by training needs\n\nWillingness to work occasional overtime\n\nAbility to work in both indoor and outdoor environments and conditions\n\nAbility to perform limited travel, as needed\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nProficiency in MS Office is preferred\n\nSix (6) years’ experience as a Navy Boatswain's Mate, Quarter Master, or Operations Specialist with Improved Navy Lighterage System (INLS), Maritime Prepositioning Force Utility Boat (MPFUB), Lighter Amphibious Resupply Cargo (LARC), Combat Rubber Raiding Craft (CRRC) or Amphibious Bulk Liquid Transfer System (ABLTS)\n\n100 Ton Captain's license\n\nMilitary Instructor certification\n\nKnowledge of charting and plotting, navigation equipment, and Coast Guard Rules of the Road\n\nFirst Aid, CPR & AED\n\nService Contract Act (SCA) Compensation & Benefits:\nThis is an hourly, overtime-eligible position that falls under the Service Contract Act (SCA).
