AMS will be responsible for accompanying personnel in secured areas with NCTS. Will perform duties to ensure compliance with Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Amentum ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS).\nAdditional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:\nInspection and maintenance of designated fixed and semi-fixed antenna structures (i.e. communications, bore sight, and Lightning Protection System (LPS). \nPerform minor and surface corrosion during preventive maintenance activities for facilities, equipment, infrastructure (including antenna structures), and system components.\nPerform corrective maintenance and corrosion control on facilities, systems, infrastructure, towers, and equipment consistent with the Program maintenance plans and crane / tower management plans\nPerform corrosion control on antenna structures and towers at AAAF, which will involve climbing and working at full height IAW required OSHA standards\nConduct heavy metal sampling and sample analysis before facility renovation or demolition and maintain a database of sample results\nMaintain tower structural reliability by inspecting to full height\nInspect the Lightning Mitigation System (LMS) and certify for operational effectiveness\nInspect facility grounding at facilities assigned to the Contractor and shall report results as directed by Program leadership and PWS\nMaintain aircraft safety warning lights and associated hardware on all towers\nMaintain antennas, antenna structures and towers that are individually supported by, located on top of, or attached to facilities and structures\nPerform other duties as assigned\nThe Antenna Maintenance Supervisor will be available within 30 minutes to meet with Government personnel and / or Program leadership as required 24 hours/day, 7 days/week in this role.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nEngineer or technician with antenna and outside plant experience in varied types of High Frequency (HF) antenna systems with emphasis on antenna maintenance, installation, testing and documentation of results.\nIt is required that the antenna supervisor will successfully complete before or within six months of assignment, \"Basic Corrosion,\" a five-day course of instruction sponsored by the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) International Institute or equivalent training or technical expertise in corrosion control methods and procedures.\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\nFive years’ experience in Antenna Maintenance and Operations as outlined\nThree years’ experience in a supervisory role in an austere OCONUS environment with a multi-national workforce\nStrong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office products\nExcellent organizational and time management skills\nAbility to obtain and maintain a US passport and driver's license throughout employment in this role\nPassport must be valid for a minimum of one (1) year or more at the time of hiring\nAbility to successfully pass the medical contract requirements and maintain compliance throughout the duration of deployment\nMust be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance\nAbility to obtain country-specific visas as required by the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide\nWORK ENVIRONMENT, PHYSICAL DEMANDS\nAble to stand for long periods of time such as eight (8) to ten (10) hours, bend, kneel, and reach to store/retrieve supplies\nAble to lift, carry, and push supplies and boxes up to 50 pounds\nWork includes facilities, towers, antennas, security control and locks, cranes and hoists, corrosion control, heavy metals in paint, and asbestos removal and disposal services \nLiving and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable\nLong hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions\nPersonnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions\nThis position is located on Diego Garcia, British Indian Ocean Territory (BIOT), a remote overseas location supporting U.S. Government operations. Employees may work in offices, industrial warehouses, ports, airfield, and outdoor environments and may be exposed to high temperatures, humidity, inclement weather, noise, dust, and uneven terrain. Work schedules may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on operational requirements\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nRequirements may include prolonged sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and working in both indoor and outdoor environments.
